audio set-up for beginners [continued]

Good evening. Plano ko sana upgrade ng sound system. Yung 2din headunit ko kasi nag loloko na touch screen. Plano ko sana isabay pag nagpalit ako headunit. Medyo marami na rin ako nabasa sa thread kaso di ko alam kung saan ako mag start kung ako mag sesetup. Pahingi naman tips saan ako mag start, Ano ba dapat bibilhin ko, and saan ko ba ipapasetup.

Sa ngayon, stock speakers lang ng altis 1.8g 2002 model gamit ko. Hindi naman ako nabibitin sa tunog niya. Or siguro wala naman ako nacocompare. Yung sa office ko nag nakasetup na kanya pero d ako nagagandahan sa tunog. Parang d balanse yung bass nya (sobrang dagundong) and masakit naman yung kalansing. D ko naririnig yung ibang instrument. Mas na appreciate ko pa yung stock speaker ko.

Gusto ko sana magpalit na matutuwa naman ako sa kalalabasan. Ano ba marerecommend nyo? Yung sakto lang sa budget. Yung 20k ba kaya na?

since happy ka naman sa speakers mo and magpapalit ng HU, buy a quality HU first then have your doors deadened, it'll make your speakers (or any speakers for that matter) sound way better. Then, ipon na lang in case you want to push through your plans of upgrading your system. With that very tight budget, mahirap kasi yung quality HU + amp + speakers, especially kung may particular sound signature kang hinahanap.

Also, better kung makaka-audition ka ng quality install talaga, try to ask jhnkvn if he could spare some time para ma-audi mo system nya.

you wanted a 2-din HU right? o single din?
if 2-din, stretch your budget a little kasi ang avh-x2650bt is around 14k
if single din, look for a 2nd hand 9887 or if bnew, deh-x9650bt is around 8k

go for a decent HU first...then kung pwede sana pagsabayin yung speakers & amp...
but if not possible, go with speakers first, the new Focal access is great (7k), and also Auditor RIP (5k)...morel tempo is also there but that would be more than 10k already

for amp, your choices for bang for the buck would be Soundmagus VS160.4, Cadence 175.4, Gladen M-line 75.4, & Firland XA480, I think all of these would be more or less 8k-10k range...go with 4ch as jhnkvn would also advise you...if ever you plan to have a sub in the future.

A 3-way will entail more costs than your 2-way. Wiring is one.. installation and fabrication is the other. But as long as you tune it right, even a basic 3-way will outperform a more expensive 2-way. So the Focal Access 3-way gets my vote.

The logic is very much like a turbo car versus a N/A engine. Given a certain distance, the turbo car will be better (faster) and it'll also be more failure-prone (BOV, turbocharger, etc.). You also need to tune the ECU well so you can take advantage of the added power. But when it all boils down to it, if you don't tune it well.. your 3-way will suck. And tuning a 2-way is significantly easier than a 3-way setup.

drop the LL and buy a 4ch amp na higher capacity para maiwasan mo yung bili, then replace kasi mapapagastos ka lang lalo. do it right the first time.

if against LL, my vote would go on the magus...but then again, old model na yang c160, ang new model nyan e VS160.4, should be at the same price range. pero both are great amps for their price. 350W on bridge mode also kaya busog na sub mo.

either buy the x7550sd then, you can also buy the Auditor seps or buy the x9650bt then ipon mode na lang uli para sa seps sa susunod.

looking at the specs of that amp, ok sya on sheet. i haven't auditioned a system using this amp but power-wise on sheet (even if we assume 60% efficiency), ok naman sya - it'll be sufficient for your system.
