Wow! appreciate your response sir! Very detailed and educational for everybody else! I totally agree with your post.

I initially planned on getting the Alpine ICS-X8 (or the Pioneer x8550 - the new one is 8650 that can play flac!) but thought to wait it out and just get the new one when it comes out. Will not get the processor though and hopefully the audiophile 2-din will be enough for the EQ / tuning.

Currently, the tonality and fidelity of sound is very good. no distortion at med-high volumes. subwoofer provides the low frequency missing.

Will contemplate on the other points you raised. Thank you very much and will provide you guys an update in the near future!

x8550 has very limited tuning capabilities sadly bought one here. no bandpass so it cant do proper filtering ng mid bass. Go for alpines. or if you like the features of pioneer get a processor.

Sa mga gurus medyo naguluhan ako sa wiring. Ito system ko kicker cvr8 and punch 301s. Paano ba wiring gagawin ko sa dvc na cvr8? Puede kaya iparallel ko tapos bridge sa amp or 1st voice coil connect sa left ch ng amp then 2nd vc connect to right channel ng amp to make it stereo or mag series ako then bridge sa amp. Alin kaya ang maganda dito? Tia

Puede kaya iparallel ko tapos bridge sa amp or 1st voice coil connect sa left ch ng amp then 2nd vc connect to right channel ng amp to make it stereo or mag series ako then bridge sa amp. Alin kaya ang maganda dito? Tia

Not a guru here pero this might help.
Since ur amp is rate as 75 x 2 * 4ohms or 300 watts x 1 *4ohms,
best to wire your dvc sub to meet a 4ohm load (assuming its a dual 2ohm) by wiring it in series
you can do so by getting a wire to connect the + and - and then hooking the remaining + and - negative terminals to your amp's corresponding terminal in bridge mode.

Just like to get advice if the performance of the JBL MS-8 will be at par with the Alpine PXA-H800. Will hook it up to a montero head unit with amps for the speakers and sub.

Also, are there ships where you can buy just speaker crossovers. The left front Jbl speaker on my other car has gave out.

Although if you look at them as a processor-only, nasa same category sila. However... they are marketed differently and this means na apples to oranges comparison mo dito.

The MS8's promise is a 5-minute auto-tune that's very intelligent while the H800 has all the features you need but you need to know how to tune it.

What's better depends on how good are you in tuning.

Hello ulit mga bossing. May problem ako. Bigla na lang namamatay headunit kasama amp. Mahina o malakas sounds namamatay pa rin. Natry ko na ioff yung power ng amp. Pag headunit alone lang, di naman namamatay. Ano kaya ang may sira? Amp or yung speaker? Pag na on ko ulit ok naman lahat tapos bigla uli nag shut off. Nagrereset ung headunit. Ito system ko

Probably a short circuit issue on your power amp. Try checking its fuse if still intact.
