Suzuki facing strong demand for 5-door Jimny | Autoindustriya

Earlier in the year, reports say Maruti Suzuki is aiming to build around 100,000 units of the five-door Jimny per year. 66% will be allocated to the Indian market and the rest will be earmarked for exports. Numbers-wise, this means Suzuki already has reservations for around half of the five-door Jimny's Indian market allocation.

Hopefully the price is right.
Especially if 1.5L engine pa rin gamit, it will compete against xpander cross and other 7 seater category.
Expected is magrange from 1.5m - 1.8m given na 1.3m current price ng 2 doors.

The side profile/silhouette reminds me of the first gen Pajero.

I browse thru the Jimny FB group and I see a lot of 3 dr being offered by SA and suddenly all are readily available. 2-3 months ago, you cant even have a good answer from SA on availability especially some of the hype color, unless your interested in their “in-house financing” scam / scheme . . hehe.

On the 5 dr - thinking if its a good buy at that price range?

For those who got the 3 dr from India, is there any specific concern over the Japan release?

afaik the 3dr made in india are assembled from CKD kits from japan. so most parts are made in japan. even the foam seats are made in japan

india makes a lot of tires but but indian 3dr has tires made in japan. for sure all the important components are made in japan. even small things like plastic lamp covers say made in japan.

as for the 5dr, this one probably has more indian content. sa tires palang made in india na.
