As usual, SHELL ang laging #1 sa price increases kaya ayaw ko na din sa kanila to be honest...

P0.40 for gasoline and P0.20 for diesel...

No announcement yet from the others... Pero malamang susunod sila. Petro will likely do it at 12PM...

Shell hikes fuel, drops LPG pricesBy: Abigail L. Ho
    Philippine Daily Inquirer
11:25 pm | Monday, May 30th, 2011 12 0share13MANILA, Philippines—Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. has decided to hike prices of unleaded gasoline by 50 centavos a liter and of regular gasoline and diesel by 25 centavos a liter.

These price movements will take effect at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday.

The price of Shell’s Shellane liquefied petroleum gas, however, has been pulled down by P2.50 a kilogram, or by P27.50 per 11-kilogram cylinder.

According to monitoring done by the Department of Energy, the prices of gasoline and diesel based on the Mean of Platts Singapore benchmark for refined petroleum products went up last week as compared with prices two weeks ago.

The international contract price of LPG, on the other hand, went down for the month of June, leading to a drop in local cooking gas prices.

I have to disagree about Local oil company retailers here as a CARTEL...They were also just trying to make a profit out of what their cost of Imports in the world market.

But YES there is a CARTEL on a worldwide scale ..these OPEC are the big Cartels. hawak ang mundo sa kung ano mang presyo ilagay nila.

Those who truly understand and trade the markets would say that OPEC is no longer a CARTEL. Baka dati, pero ngayon ang laki na ng markets no one has the power to control it...

Idiots who don't even trade the oil markets and have nothing better to do than picket in the streets say that OPEC is still a cartel who can control oil prices. I laugh at these idiots, that's why they are still poor cause they are idiots...

if OPEC dictates oil price, why weren't they able to do anything when oil fell to $30+/barrel in early 2009?

They don't know who to blame kasi that's why they turn to OPEC/oil companies and the government. There's always someone to blame except for themselves.

hehe, got your point. But it's really weird that all gasoline stations here have the same prices in all products, unlike in Manila where there are differences. So IMO, businessmen here of gasoline definitely have a gentlemans aggreement to maximize profit at the expense of Consumers. Impossible pare-pareho lang sila ng overhead cost at CGS. Ibang sources eh. May manila may Iloilo.
