buti ok yung rapide dito sa San Pedro, sincere naman sila, saka ok yung mechanic team at management team nila, actually I avail a promo of them, nagpa-change oil kami non ng suzuki carry saka paggawa nun depekto dun sa REVO (as in sabay namin pinagawa ng father ko) then libre check up at change oil labor yung 3rd car na dadalhin mo dun...nakalibre pa yung sis ko non,

mura nga un oil change sa rapide pero un oil na ginagamit nila ay galing sa drum na expired na....i think si dvldoc rin nagsabi na may expiry ang mga oil once you have opened it.....so probably pag hindi na ubos un oil from the drum and malapit na maexpire, rapide made it a point na mag promo ng murang change oil at free filter pa.....but come to think of it, baka un binayaran mo lang dun ay un oil filter at hindi pa baldwin o fleetguard man lang.

same here at meralco, ortigas, ok din service nila. baka nga naman sa tao yun at hindi ang rapide.
ha? maybe meron expiration but for a long period of time. what do you expect ba sa mga casa, hindi naka-drum? AFAIK, kaya sila mura kase KUNG by liter package ang oil nila, mapapamahal ka dun dahil yung packaging ang binayaran mo. trust me, i know. why? because i sell lubricants.

IMO, shops earn more from the drum:
1. Economies of scale.
2. They charge the client for 4L of oil while in reality, the actual amount loaded is only 3.5L to 3.8L; heck, some cars like the GA engined Sentras only need 3L of oil but the unsuspecting owners are charged for 4L. If its in the bottle, you get the remnants.
I know of one unscrupulous shop who services oil from the dispenser (drum) that will pass of regular mineral oil as synthetic and charge the customer for synthetic. Buti nalang nalugi yung ogags.
Most of the dealerships I've encountered sell the oil for vehicle servicing by the litre and not by dispensing from the drum .Last edited by vinj; May 20th, 2011 at 05:15 PM.
