No fun moves like heel toeing. [emoji106] my vote goes to manual. Cheaper to maintain as well.

MT is cheaper to maintain than AT notion.

    Does it still apply today?

How often do you replace transmission fluid sa MT?

Like ATF/CVT fluid for ATs every 40K KMs ang palit.

Please do enlighten me, between EDSA rush hour driving and cruising on the highway, when exactly do you use heel and toe?

And aside from cheap sports cars like the 86 and MX5, most of today's affordable manuals have pedal placements unsuitable for heel and toe because the pedal height for the brake is much higher than the accelerator.

Heck, I drive mountain roads on a regular basis, and don't find the need to use heel and toe - you can always brake then rev match separately, after all, noone is timing you.

traditional AT uses metal gears with fixed gear ratios.
CVT uses belts that slide over a... whatchamacallit... reverse-spindle-type of surface (a "variable diameter pulley"), resulting in a practically un-stepped gear ratio.
google it, sir. it can explain it with diagrams and all, a lot better than i can.

Manual gets my vote. I "feel" the car better when it's a manual

Learned to drive MT but I prefer AT now. I can concentrate more on what's happening on the road rather than worrying if I'll stall or if I'll roll backwards on an inclined street.

Kaantok nga lang ang AT pag long drives.

shifting MT becomes almost automatic, after one has driven MT long enough..
