I'm recommending the 1.8 Altis as its tranny has the super ECT mode. It's like changing the car's personality when on.
My decision is final...Altis matic. Toyota Dagupan center is close to our area and the quality service as far as i know is excellent.
    Thanks to all!!

Pag paakyat or pababa, or pag kailangan mo ng engine braking. Ung paakyat, most of the time kaya na ng D. You will be able to tell naman pag nahihirapan makina. If so, switch to lower.

Been driving AT for 4 years now. Always on D lang. Never pa kinailangan mag manual to lower gears. Depende rin siguro sa capability ng car mo.

    Thanks!

I guess malaking factor na ang capability ng car. it's a 97 Lancer Matic.

[OT] - May times mahina na talaga hatak nya pataas kahit i-lower gear as in gapang. Pero may times naman kaya naman kahit may passengers pa ha. Any thoughts?

Manual is my vote, I love to be more involved in driving, and keep higher rpms whenever I want to imagine myself a racedriver.

I totally agree) Many modern automatic transmissions allow a faster acceleration. And nothing can be more comfortable than automatic on a daily driver.
Automatic transmission has to be maintained from time to time and you need to change the oil in it. It's not difficult though and you can check basic how-to instruction in this article: How To Perform An Automatic Transmission Fluid & Filter Service

Which is the best "Manual or Automatic"??
