Split Type Aircon: Which is best?

Nagka bad experience kasi ako a few years ago sa Panasonic na WT AC eh. The compressor kept conking out on ALL the units we got and though they'd replace them under warranty, the AC's were in the shop for so long and often I'd sometimes forget we had them at all! We even had to buy several replacement units to compensate for those in the shop!

mga around anong year po yan? hopefully, panasonic has fixed that problem by now.

Mga 3-5 years ago na po siguro. Very confident yung aming finance people because they had a VERY good experience with the previous gen WT AC known pa noon as National.

I had a huge headache kasi andami naming binili nun.

Apparently, AC's are like cars. Just because they came out with a winner previously, hindi ibig sabihin they will constantly turn out winners. So dapat tuloy tuloy ang feedback sa mga MODELS and not just brands -- I just wish they'd put real names on their models rather than just codes para mas madali tandaan!

We also replaced our 7 year old condura split type with an inverter panasonic last year. Matipid talaga siya compared to our previous aircon. Aircon has been on for 12-14 hours per day without any problems.

I believe Toshiba also has inverter type split type aircons...

My vote goes to National now Panasonic. Kaka 10 years or 9 years na iyong AC sa masters bedroom at malamig na malamig pa!!!

ok talaga ang inverter so better invest today.
pero i dont kung ang magiging trend nito kapag naglabas na rin ang
ibang brand other than Panasonic will reduce its price.

as for me, (nasa aircon industry din ako eh hehehe)
nothing beats panasonic in terms of innovation as in talagang hands down
ako sa nilalabas nilang technology ngayon, (although ang inverter tech lumabas na noon pang 1985 hehehe) pero ngayon lang nagggrow ang market.

hindi po ako taga panasonic ha, pero we are already testing inverter units
and masasabi ko nga, talagang matipid sya.

compare mo lang yung 1.5hp (13,000~15,000 Kj)
as regular AC's - 1,200 ~ 1,500 watts ang consumption nyo (lumalabas sa test meter)
pero sa Inverter AC's - from 500 ~ 1,100 watts lang as in kapag na meet nya
ang cooling temperature ng room nyo, biglang bagsak ng konsumo.

2 klase pala ang inverter type AC's:

isang AC type at
isang DC type

kung matipid ang AC inverters, mas lalo na sa DC inverters
hindi po ako taga panasonic (nasa aicron industry lang din ako kaya
binigyan ko kayo ng idea re: sa inverters)

if you cant afford the inverter panasonics, i suggest look for other brand that uses matshusita compressor. it is a very durable/reliable compressor.

Hindi ba kaya inverter type ang tawag sa aircon na yan, yung AC na galing sa outlet, kino-convert niya sa DC para sa DC compressor ? And DC motors kasi ang may magandang speed controller capabilities.

3 kasing split type ang bibilihin ko para sa bago kong condo, kaya nag-reresearch akong mabuti

on paper, mukhang maganda talaga ang panasonic inverter.

magkano kaya ang annual servicing ng split type (Fort Area) ? kailangan kasing linisining mabuti ang evaporator coil ng split yearly para efficient, hindi naman siguro pwedeng i-hose ang evaporator sa loob ng condo

Actually pwede i-hose ang evaporator sa loob mismo ng room. Hindi na tinatanggal yung indoor unit. The service technicians just put a catch bin under the indoor unit para hindi kumalat ang tubig.
