And from which horse's behind did you pull out that opinion?
Here's article that seems to contradict your opinion: (link)
... Most industry analysts believe that pure electric vehicles will make up roughly 1 percent of global sales by 2015, or less than 1 million units out of 70 million. Hybrids may make up 4 to 6 percent.
The pure-EV share is expected to climb to 3 to 5 percent by 2020...Last edited by ghosthunter; March 17th, 2010 at 09:52 AM.

March 18th, 2010 07:40 AM #657Since apparently ULS you're not an environment protection advocate, hope you do not mind my asking where you are coming from and where do yopu stand on the issue of this thread.
Your posting strikes me as just muck-throwing and there have been no positive inputs from you on any matter discussed so far.
Where you coming from and where you heading with all these negatives yet no alternative solution... seems your only out to destroy. I personal prefer being constructive rather than destructive. Enough ugliness where we live to add to it... so rather work to improve things than destroy more of an already ramshackled environment.

I like ULS' statements as a balance to what the "advocates" post here.
He also gives a level of checks and balance to the unverified claims made.
Many people might think that the future is all rosy if we all just suddenly go electric but I have a different view. I just find it disturbing that people would accept "green" concepts without thinking deeper & knowing about the "parts" & the "whole".

talk about global warming
i'm skeptical of that (even before climategate came out)
the top people behind global warming have an agenda
they wanna monetize emissions
(read about emissions trading, cap and trade)
they wanna create a global standard for trading emissions
they're forcing all governments on earth to comply (that's what Copenhagen was all about)
the people behind the global warming agenda have successfully convinced (brainwashed) people that human activity changed the Earth's climate and that we are headed for disaster if we don't cut greenhouse gas emissions
when emissions trading goes global, it's gonna be BIG
--
going green is the in thing now
it is politically correct to be green
people have accepted global warming as gospel truth
people swallowed it hook, line, and sinker
everyone is now following the green movement
scary
people are not questioning itLast edited by uls; March 18th, 2010 at 03:32 PM.
