Don' try this if your car is still under warranty. Baka ma-void.
Same suggestion. Remove batteries, remove-clean-vacuum-wd40 blast-nitro blast your ECU and have it scan-checked, multiple (MULTIPLE not one Oil Change) engine oil change and tranny fluid change. Have aircon, electricals, electronics checked by a competent electrician. Remove old sparks and replace with new ones. Replace or clean air filter. Vacuum the air intake to remove anything there (water, mud, etc.)
How to do multiple engine oil changes. If you have the big bucks then do regular oil changes (oil and filter) until all you see is CLEAR oil being drained. Siguro mga 4-5x before this happens. Remember the contaminant is not water but MUD. This can damage far worst than just water.
Or you can do the diesel fuel for oil change. My mechanic used plain diesel with 10% ethanol from caltex. Engine was ran for a short time, 10 seconds to 15 seconds. Drained. Existing engine oil drained overnight produced a dark brown fluid. Oil filter was replaced. 1st diesel method oil changed produced thick chocolait like fluid. 3rd produced clear white wine like fluid. Engine oil to be used was then loaded after this and again oil filter was replaced.
Cost - 12 liters diesel fuel = less than P350. Oil filter 2x200=400. Synthetic Oil 4 liters (final oil to use) P2k. Total P3k or less + labor.
For the tranny depends. 2-3 changes are needed. Check until same color as the ATF loaded was. trannies will require you to move the car a few feet away before reloading/changing.
If you do follow this, please it is at your risk. Pero wow parang bagong overhaul yung engine ninyo afterwards.Last edited by OldSchoolHack; October 2nd, 2009 at 12:24 AM. Reason: spelling

BTW if you think selling your car to buy a new one right away is a good idea, well think again.
Even casas with their showroom and warehouses were drowned with water and mud. There is a possibility you will get a vehicle which is pre-damaged without you knowing.
Best bet - buy a 2010 or later model.

Pag nasubmerged ang car mo, hindi puede hindi ibababa ang engine.
I hate to say this, pero overhaul na yan. It happened na sa akin many years agoe.
The dirt will get into the engine, via exhaust pipe, air cleaner...basta may butas. Just draining the oil won't do, if plan to use the car pa. The valves needs to be cleaned and dried as well.
If you plan to sell it after restoration. Well, I guess basta umandar, ok na.

question:
Ang tranny ba napapasok din ng baha? Pano lilinisin? thanks
