I have an X-trail too but I managed to escape from flood almost reaching my hood at edsa balintawak.
Muka nasira or na grounded yung solenoid that prevents the shifter to move when brake is unpressed, its a safety feature. You can try press the mechanical lock button to shift it.
I think yung mga sensors mo na damage na, just have it check and/or replace it

Mga sir, pag hindi mo natanggal yung battery tapos umilaw yung park and break light mo habang nakababad, does it mean na tinamaan yung ECU ng Jazz ko? Mas worried ako sa electrical kesa sa engine kase I pulled out the dipstick ng engine oil wala namang tubig. Submerged yung oto ko halfway ng headlight for 5 hours and hindi inabot yung dashboard. Never kong inattempt na i-start yung engine. Any suggestions kung anong dapat unang i-check other than making sure that everything is dry?

September 30th, 2009 03:13 PM #129My Toyota vios 1.5G submerged in flood waters. I called up Toyota Marikina but the casa was submerged too. I called toyota QA, Cubao, & Otis but all casas are fully booked w vehicles having the same problem. However, a service advisor gave me a rough estimate of the casa charge w/c is as follows:
washing PhP 4000.00
detailing 4000.00
computer box (if damaged) 30000.00 (approx)
oil/filters/flushing compound 2500.00 labor 5000.00
misc. XXXXXXXXXXX
TOTAL (APPROX) Php 45000.00 ++
I was refered by my car sales agent to a former collegue who manages a motorshop in Cubao (Neocars) & my vehicle is now ready for pick-up. My bill is PhP 11500.00. My Vios' computer box was not damaged. However, an Innova was not as fortunate, their bill is PhP20000.00 as their computer box was affected & repaired too. FYI

September 30th, 2009 03:16 PM #130Totzulot and Shadow, thanks for the advice.
If there is any consolation, wala naman so far nagblink na any warnings sa panel. Waiting na lang kung kelan matapos sa casa. Since andami nakapila, wala ding assurance na date kung kelan matatapos pati interior detailing. Sana maging ok ulit si Xtrail.
Thanks for the replies again.
