^^ question pala: diba parehas 4d56 ang engine ng Montero at advie? ang pinagkaiba is nakaturbo ang Montero right? so if they have the same 4d56, hindi pa ba CRDI version ang nasa advie since ,from what i heard, CRDI version 4d56-T ang nasa Montero?

Ewan ko lang sa MMC pero sana magkaron na nga ng Fuzion na diesel, then yung adventure retain nalang nila yung 2 variants na pinaka sellable.

May 26th, 2010 09:33 AM #26I don't think the Adventure needs a more powerful engine with CRDI. A simple non-intercooled turbo would do, like what Isuzu does with the Crosswind.

Tsaka, although Im a believer of the 4D56 engine sana naman palitan na nila ng may timing chain na makina para mas matibay kahit papaano. For all the merits of the 4d56 ang weak link ay yung timing belt, naputulan nako kasi, hassle na magastos pa

May 26th, 2010 10:29 AM #30For me kasi, there is still a market for AUVs; some people do have the need for a relatively small car that can haul people and stuff around. Sure you can buy an SUV, but driving it through crowded streets and parking lots could be a chore.
As the article mentioned, they may opt for a "simple" engine upgrade, i.e. turn it into direct injection...a turbo perhaps?
The fact that nobody has mentioned the Fuzion is telling of how the market hasn't really embraced it B) i think this was supposed to match up with the Innova.
i think there are two major factors:
-- gas engine variants only.
-- price tag. It baffles me how Toyota can price their Innova J diesel at under 900k, while the Zinger is selling at 1m+.Last edited by badkuk; May 26th, 2010 at 10:34 AM.
