I had the cam installed by our local casa here in Cebu. Installation just took more or less an hour and a half.

I still have to test this one out. Just had it installed this morning. I could probably give a feed back on this tomorrow night. Hopefully it turns out well.

yung level sa dip stick sa engine natin bro has 2 indicators, isang low at isang high..normally yung level ng oil in the morning, w/o starting the car is above half nung 2 indicators...nasa "low" indicator na ba yung oil mo?how low is your "low" at your dip stick?maybe kaya di sinagad ng service tech yung oil mo is that mahirap sumobra langis sa engine kesa magkulang but not as low as the low indicator..

I have a heavy foot and the only time I appreciate straight line is on stoplights... though I know the car can handle corners.

as I understand it, the 6 speed paddle shifters are just virtual or a simulation of gears... medyo psychological ba yun speed kung paddle shifters ang gamitin?!

The asx is a bit slow in my eyes or feel :-( but maybe because Im not used to the CVT

Also, the car does not like revving (if I use the paddle shifters to hold on virtual gears), a bit surprised considering its MIVEC... (BTW - I also have a Grandis with MIVEC) it revs beautifully

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

I also have the Grandis and it is a conventional 4 speed AT not a CVT

Im not doubting the speed of the shifting, actually magaling nga ang asx...

Its the straight line, (or basically 1st gear if you hold it)... parang ayaw umakyat ng RPN, or mabagal umakyat... I just hope its psychological rather than being plain slow.

My expectations are tempered... a matic Altis 1.6, though slow, revs nicely... a heavier CRV 2.0 feels faster... But I just hope its only a feeling...

anyone knows the acceleration of ASX (0-100km)?

BTW - its not a complain, just an observation.

Im sure it translates to better mileage... but sometimes, you also want to drive fast :-)

The ASX is actually quicker than most 2.0s in the class (0-100 km/h) and quicker than even some 2.5 ATs... at least until 80-100 km/h, after which the more powerful cars start to pull away.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

0-100kph is around 11 seconds for the ASX 2.0 CVT
