guys, dont you find the troopers ABS to over reacting? yung tipong sobrang hina na ng brake kahit makapit naman yung ground?

Wheel speed sensor. Its mounted on each wheel at the back of the rotor.
Its magnetic therefore iron fillings sticks to it.

    SQ,
I have experienced a trooper with and without an ABS. Maninibago ka talaga dahil parang mahina/spongy ang brakes pero thats how antilock brake system on trooper works. Ang laki ng rotor ng front and rear brakes ng mga trooper malabo mag fade yan unless controlled ng ABS.

reply to 4wd indicator lamp being on even if the 4wd is not engaged...

hello, try checking the solenoid switch at the front axle, it's located the middle of the front axle and it's covered by a metal shroud. there's 2 vacuum hoses connected to it. either one of the hoses were disconnected or the wiring is faulty or the vsv switch itself is faulty. i own a 96 isuzu MU 4wd, it shares the same front under chassis of your bighorn. had the same problem once, fortunately, one of the hoses were disconnected when i installed a steering damper.

No need to clean brakes, caliper disc brakes are very low maintenance. Best you can do is drain all brake fluid and raplace with new. The wheel sensors can be removed by a bolt with allen wrenchm then twist it side side pulling out slight until lumabas na siya. Masikip siya kaya tyaga lang. Sa likod size 12 bolt naman. Clean it with tooth brush and/or spray with contact cleaner.

SQ do this also, wheel speed sensors plays a vital role in determining if you have lock up. If it cant read (because dirty) the speed it can light up the ABS warning light.

    oil
    oil filter
    fuel filter
    coolant
    tranny fluid
    brake fluid
    p/s fluid

anything else? btw what we always do is just to blow the air filter with compressed air every now and then.
