My sister recently acquired a diesel Tucson and really likes it.
The driver who got to drive it around for a while says it really a hoot to drive and doesn't feel like diesel at all.
It's a 4x2 if this helps any.
Based on my observation, so far, so good.
No direct experience though.
Hope this helps.

If the CRDi Tucson is out of budget... why not consider a Kia Carens? It's got more utility (having an occassional third row, it can act as a seven-seater for short trips) and it's got the same engine. Starting price is much lower, too, for the CRDi model.
It rides well and looks nice... the only issue (if you're considering an SUV-like vehicle) is the much lower ride height, but hey, a couple of big tires and a lift-kit can cure that... :naughty2:
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

i totally agree with niky. i would get the carens without hesitation. best bang for the buck! at 875k last time i checked, it is so much more practical with crdi diesel engine same as tucson coupled with a 6 speed tranny. smartest choice.
