Sabi sa carguide at sa Top gear ph:
It's CRV tech at Teritory price.
Same car will also be sold in Europe. With 5 star ratings.
OT: Kaya pala may kamukha, copycat ng Cayenne.

The embargo was lifted last night so all the usual PH car review sites/vlogs should be up and about with their first impressions.
I'm posting the one from cаrguide.ph below just because it has more details than Autodeal Caco's "First Drive":

July 26th, 2024 04:52 PM #25SUper aggresive ng mga Chinese cars sa pricing. Not fond of chinese cars, pero looking of the specs PHEV at 1.5M, grabe parang mahirap tapatan to ng other car manufacturers, considering parang TOTL na ito.
Ung Tucson Hybrid, malapit na akong pareserve, pero napadalawang isip ako nung lumabas ito :D
only downside nlang nito is the chinese cars stigma in general.

In my humble opinion, the DM-i hybrid of BYD is superior to that of Honda's hybrid powertrain. Do note that what we have isn't the latest 5.0 DM-i version just yet (maybe next year?).
We are definitely getting the global release which is 5-star Euro NCAP rated.
Branded in China as the "Song Plus Champion Edition" - this is a facelift of the BYD Song Pro DM-i released in Dec 2022 (which, in turn, was a facelift of an earlier BYD Song variant).
Some quick notes/specs:
• Uses BYD's Blade LiFePO4 batteries - currently the best EV batteries commercially available today
• FWD (not clear if the Philippines will get the AWD version)
• 215 hp and 300 nm of torque (0-100kph claim is about 8.5 sec)
• Bigger and wider than the Mitsu Outlander PHEV
• Warranty: 6 yr bumper-to-bumper, 8 yr battery warranty; only 1 PMS per year
• Powertrain modes: EV, HEV Parallel, HEV Series
• PHEV Range: 1092km; EV Range: 92km
• Kerb weight: 1940kg
• Fuel requirement: 95 RON
• No spare tireLast edited by Verbl Kint; July 26th, 2024 at 05:38 PM.

Ka chat ko yung bagong BYD Service Manager. He just moved from Ford and also Toyota. He was planning to buy his wife a Ford Territory sana but now seriously considering getting her an SL6 instead.
To be honest, if this came out in 2022, I wouldve bought this than my nextgen Everest Trend.
This has outstanding value-for-money and medyo assurance din that Ayala will backup the BYD brand in the country.
Ang di ko lang maintindihan is the SL7 is already in the works and about to be launched. Ang bilis talaga ng upgrades ng modern China vehicles.

These are cheap for a reason ... and they skimped on quality controls here and there ... sooner or later ... the effects of poor quality of chinese vehicles will come out ... whether it be paper-like metal quality ... fires caused by charging / battery issues ... electronic glitches ... etc ...
Then again ... the Japanese and Europeans also cheated on quality ... and covered them up ...

Various independent reviews in Australia, Singapore, UK of latest BYD vehicles mention the impressive build quality.
Latest local test reached an eye popping 1,600 kms which is beyond its stated 1,100 kms combined range
