CUV has better traction. Wala sa laki ng gulong yan..

    Based on personal experience.

Primary consideration between CUV and SUV is its use and driver preference/comfort. If you want an anti-Ondoy vehicle, the best option is a pumpboat.

No doubt about better traction, but point of laki gulong is clearance above ground and better chance of escaping flooded area than CUV.

Pumpboat is good if its included in this car comparison, I just hope you can drive your pumpboat even if theres no ondoy at all. Again, we all know that CUV such as Sorento has a better feel in driving because parang kotse ang kapit sa kalsada and the comfort of maneuverubility. SUV however, pwedeng imaneho sa kalsada or sa grabeng malulubak at pwedeng umeskapo sa matataas na baha. better chance of driving away from all those hazards kumbaga.

Actually mine is SUV its a fortuner, even my fort is able to cross the flood I still choose not to, wait to subside along with other sedans and CUV, dami sisirain like bearing, sensors, catalytic, etc.

But in situation that you have to cross or escape otherwise it will be more dangerous, SUV has the advantage over CUV.

I second the motion and close. We are talking the same language after all. This is exactly what I have in mind. Thank you for expounding sir. Hope we can exchange ideas more often.

Come to think of it. If Kia can come up with an SUV that is fairly comaparable to the built of the likes of any FORT or MONTY (reasonably priced) and vice versa, should Mitsubishi and Toyota can build an SUV that can offer sophistication and driving comforts that Sorento and other cool CUV possess, then I will be first in line to purchase one.

Salamat Sir, for stressing my point. tinuldukan nyong mabuti. Im just wondering if more people will still buy expensive CUV's katulad ng Sorento na Php 1.7Million tapos mamatay lang sa baha kapag naipit sa nabanggit ninyong situation.

    Hahaha

I will. Even the 2-Million peso variant of Sorento.
