July 10th, 2010 12:48 AM #5512That holds true if the towel is not rinsed properly, if a towel is rinsed properly it should not hold any particles in the towel, that scenario is when you dump the towels on a wash bucket fill it up with water and pour on the powdered detergent, normally we would recommend you pour the powder unto the water first and let it melt away until no solid particles is left at the bottom before you dump in your MF cloths, and this scenario only happens with powdered detergents because they get stuck inbetween the fibers, if you're using diluted liquid then its no problem, and using warm water can really help in removing oil based wax and polishes, using a degreaser would make cleaning and removing those large clusters of wax and polishes easier but it doesn't mean that it makes it cleaner, i usually recommend degreasers for really tough waxes like collinites, but aside from that even if you use a degreaser i would still suggest you properly wash your towels, and repeated washing can help make sure its really clean, honestly you can also get the same results with just using any liquid detergent when it comes to cleaning the towel, perla just helps in making the towel softer, and of course air drying it under the shade also helps make it softer, again degreasers are mainly just used for removing big clusters of waxes and polishes and take note that not all MF cloths are recommended to be used with these kinds of chemicals

July 10th, 2010 02:22 AM #5517Question.. I have less than a week old fleetwax/476s on my car... excellent beading, kaso, when left to dry, nagkakaroon ng water marks...
I tried ONR No rinse (1:256) and waterless solution (1:32), pero di natanggal... then tried nanosliq, ganun pa rin, does this mean i have to wax it once more with 476s?
I thought the benefit of good waxes, aside from protecting the paint, is to make these water marks easy to remove with just a wash. normal lang ba tlga un?

*PSI: hindi ko linagyan ng QD yung MF applicator... kuha ka na rin ng OCW sir!
*madkatz: pretty satisfied with the performance of OCW so far, very, very good shine, and I can almost just flick off droppings and tree sap (after spraying a little bit of QD)
going to see if washing's going to strip it off today. hehe.
lagyan ko na rin ng booster wax for even more protection

July 10th, 2010 11:19 AM #5520Hmm thats odd, it should make removing water marks easier, on the 6 cars we tested with fleet wax from the start of the rainy season we still haven't got any real permanent watermarks and most came off with just a wash, may i ask what kind of water was left to dry on the paint? so far only acid rain can penetrate through those kinds of waxes but its been raining frequently so im kinda crossing that out since acid rain is the strongest when for days it hasn't rained and it suddenly rained, and as with hard water spots these are the more common especially when you leave tap water to dry on paint but it should also be easy to remove with a QD, are they visible when dry? or are they only visible when you pass it with a damp cloth? Maybe you can bring it when you guys have another meet up and let dwin take a look at it.
