January 30th, 2019 04:40 AM #281Ano kaya po problema nito? Had the alternator replaced but now the car is overheating.
-Honda Civic 1997 manual VTI
-radiator has been replaced on November 2018 to a 2 row one
-initially the suspect was the thermoswitch so nirekta ng mechanic na constant spinning nung rad fan (bibili ako ng new thermoswitch dun sa malapit na autosupply sa amin pero out of stock sila on that day) so nakarekta sya hanggang day off ko bukas sa paghanap ng thermoswitch
-initially I thought it was the aircon affecting the rad fan in some way pero kanina kahit di ako nag aircon nag OH sya
-bukas I'm planning to buy a thermoswitch and a thermostat hopefully that will fix it
-chineck ko kung may symptoms ng broken head gasket, so far wala naman milkiness sa oil cap, white smoke sa exhaust or discoloration sa reserve
-now one thing I've noticed kanina, yung isang pulley sa may ilalim ng alternator, baka namamalikmata lang ako parang yung belt lang gumagalaw at di sila synced ng pulley. Could this be the waterpump?
Your feedbacks would be most appreciated.
Forgot to add, overheating started last Saturday
