Just had my Honda Civic FD tinted at LA Cars this morning. V-kool medium neutral dark at their promo price of P10,000. Great looking tint (I love the slightly greenish hue when the light shines through it). And driving under the noonday sun I didn't feel any heat at all. This stuff really lives up to its claim of extremely high heat rejection.

Made my reservation the day before for 9:30 AM c/o Lorna, and sure enough the tint room was available at that time. Lorna and staff where very friendly. Overall a great experience so far.

Also ordered a set of walden corduroy seat covers from them ... hehehe. I hope these turn out as nice as the tint.

Mine was m30 all around. I did consider the m30 windshield only and m20 elsewhere setup, but I felt that m30 all around looked "cleaner" and I was a bit worried about nighttime visibility for the side and rearview mirrors.

I didn't really notice the foggy effect chief - maybe a slightly smoky effect earlier tonight when I viewed incoming headlights, but it's very minor and I attribute that to the adhesive. Have read several posts here about V-kool looking foggy afterwards but great after 2 months or so, yet for me it looks quite good fresh from the tint room.

Only thing that sorta bothers me is a bunch of small finger smudges from the tint installation (which I'll wipe off after the curing period is over). No biggie.

And I admit part of the reason I chose V-kool and LA Cars in particular was from your posts. Hehe. Nice shots of your rides.

Here are a few pics from the interior of the V-kool m30 tinted Civic. Shots were taken using a mobile phone cam, at approximately 5:30PM on the road and in a condominium parking lot (some dim flourescent lighting). All are clickable thumbnails.

    Hi sir.

it's the m20 pala that makes a disturbing foggy effect and has a curing period as long as 8 months!! yes, as our E150's side and rear windows is still foggy but our altis. bbut m30 is okay.

finger sumudge? you can wipe it, its okay. just try to park your car in under the sun so the curing willbe faster.

mainit paba sa tanghali? do you feel any heat sting ?

Sir S_Q, the person who tinted my car was JR - around 5'3 in height, early 20's, kayumanggi, and kinda thin. Friendly guy, very polite and quick to answer my questions about tints. I spent a relaxing two hours in the tint room ... didn't get bored at all.

I still haven't left my Civic out in the sun so can't speak yet for the heat reduction effect after such an experience, but yesterday when I drove home at around 1PM in the afternoon, I hardly felt the heat at all. By 5PM I could look directly at the sun through the windshield. Yet at night, everything still seemed so bright.

My 2004 Altis has 3M Medium Black on sides and rear (windshield Neutral) and I have some trouble with nighttime visibility - no such problems with V-kool, and I feel heat reflection for V-kool is noticeably superior. With the promo price only a little more than twice that of the 3M, I'd say its a great buy. Probably won't have my Altis re-tinted though ... 10K is still 10K, and expensive for a "color coding car."

Thanks for the clarifying the m20 vs m30 fogginess. Wow, 8 months? I wonder how long curing for the m70 would be.

Hindi ba iinit din ang loob ng sasakyan kung nakabilad buong araw, despite having VKool tint all around?

Sir, sa LA Cars ako nagpatint. They have a promo na 10K for all around V-kool. You can check out their website, www.lacaraccessories.com. They've had some negative feedback in various forums in the past, but my experience with them was quite good.

Agreed, di po maiwasan na may init pa rin through the roof, side panels etc. But I feel much less pa rin kaysa sa untinted car, or ordinary tinted car.
