August 14th, 2014 10:54 AM #51well it was a hassle for us kasi baka maabutan kami ng "no plate no travel" policy. was so mad at the car dealer but wala na din magawa. we've been following it up to our SA kaso sinasabi lang lagi, "wala pa po eh". all the while we thought nasama kami sa backlog ng pag-issue because of the new plates. haay...

August 14th, 2014 07:02 PM #52it was actually one of the reasons cited by the LTO spokesman, in a radio interview.
the buyer was complaining of the late release of his plates. upon investigation, it appeared that the dealer filed for registration of his car, months after he had paid for them. isip nga ng iba (including me), "dineposit muna sa time deposit yung pera, para mag-interest nang kahit kaunti"..Last edited by dr. d; August 14th, 2014 at 07:04 PM.

Ano process for a new car registration?
Parang gusto ko kase na ako na lang magparegister ng kakabili ko lang na Suzuki Swift eh. Ano kailangan kong hingin sa dealer ko?

Had my car registered yesterday. Nagtataka lang ako, hiningan kami ng TPL pero comprehensive lang napakita namin, hindi saw pwede yun. But the registration went on without us paying for a TPL,, ano yun nakalimutan lang nila? And another weird thing eh yung smoke belching test, sinaksak lang yung tube sa tambutso ko and they didn't ask me to rev. Binuksan lang makina.
Natagalan lang kami ng pag transmit ng record namin from LTO taguig, 1.5 hours for waiting for the transmittal, then 1 hour for the actual registration process. Not bad.

Those who renewed their car registration ending plate nos 2 or Feb onwards, pls don't waste your time anymore following up at LTO Makati hotline. Your new plate will be released 2 to 3 months from now. sabi ng LTO release daw in 45 days? Wheee? BS BS LTO. Grrr
