2013 din yung akin, Automatic Transmission 4x2 G variant. second sya sa top of the line 4x4 fortuner. comes with GPS navigation. check mo kung aling variant yung fort mo and kung nasa features niya yung navigation. but judging from your statement, mukang GPS ready pa lang yan, wala pa yung memory card for navigation.

December 6th, 2013 12:07 AM #1504Hello to all. Just like to please ask for info on ranges of cost of PMS for toyota fortuner.
I am planning to get a 4x2 G DSL A/T really soon and would like to have an idea of the periodic maintenace cost.
Hopefully you could kindly include the mileage duration and their corresponding costs and some details. Dami kasi factors like oil type, dealer/branch, maintenance parts replaced/reused, etc.
Thanks to all and hope to soon be among you guys who enjoy driving a fortuner.

nope. it's not as easy as downloading apps then installing it on your phone. haha! you really have to get it from Casa or from somewhere (like winterpine) who can install it for you. i think even if you managed to get one on the internet and save it to an SD card, your head unit will not read it. may security verification pa yata yung mga ganyan, 1 SD card file is unique to 1 headunit. kaya mahal talaga yan pag binili mo. but hey, it's worth the price im telling you. :D

yan ba yung stripped down na 2014 4x2 G Diesel AT? tinanggalan din pala nila ng navigation yun? well, your best and cheapest alternative is to buy a standalone GPS. madami yan sa market, trusted brands like Garmin, etc.. kung gusto mo tlga ng nasa head unit mo, you have to bear with the price from casa, kasi parang pati sa winterpine, same din price sa casa.

my 1st PMS which was at 1000km cost me around 2-3k, regular oil and some other stuffs. the 2nd one at 5000km cost me 7k for using their non OEM fully synthetic oil. most of the people here says 7k is too much for a 5000km maintenance that's why on my next PMS, i'll specifically ask them to use their OEM fully synthetic oil. im at 8,070km, next PMS will be at 10,000km with 5000km intervals.

December 12th, 2013 11:47 AM #1510Its very costly for a GPS (P25,000) in my personal opinion...Id rather spend it on other more useful or safety improvements. Really, GPS is useful if you are a foreigner or totally stranger/new in the place but i suggest just putting a portable GPS which dont cost an arm and a leg. By the way, im using GPS here in Thailand as my only guide while driving. Being new, I cannot read their road signs and street signs so I just rely on English based map of Thailand. I found it necessary to put the GPS on the eye level of the driver and not on the console because once you are driving especially on high speed expressway, you cannot get your eyes off the road for safety reason. I tried several places for the GPS (on right, left, middle, upper, lower and even on top of dashboard) but the one that is best and safe i think is just below the rear view mirror. im using GPS with average screen size and it works (costing between Php1,800 - 2,000 with built-in map already). I dont use the console based GPS. Just my 2 cents comment on GPS...
Cheers!!
