Good morning po hingi lng po ako sna ng advise kaka bili lng po nmin ng Fortuner 2006 Gas engine any tips or advise pra mabalik yung fuel consumption and power po nya salamat...

Our family has a 2008 Fortuner gas.
Fuel consumption is really bad. My average is 4-5km/L in pure city driving. around 8km/L in mixed highway/city.

Try to have all filters changed, oil change, clean throttle body.

The 2.7L 2TR-FE is known to be a guzzler, unfortunately. Kailangan pikit-mata ka nalang sa pump tuwing nagpapa-gas.

But it is a 20+ year old design... It came out when gas prices were just in the P20-23 per liter range.

Iirc, the gas price around 2005 was about P28 per liter at my area, but there was only a P3 per liter price difference compared to diesel.
Because of the negligible price difference at that time, I opted for the Innova gas instead of its D4D sibling. The fuel consumption of the Innova 2.0 gas engine was already quite thirsty, let alone the 2.7 gas Fortuner. However, my brother still loving his gas Fort
