March 16th, 2007 01:18 PM #73hehe im happy naman he bought a car, nothing serious, i just want to make fun of the situation
we are the type kasi na we talk about it as a family before plunging into things.
this " fortuner " event was not one of the typical moves hehe. at first he was asking what good car to buy and we said for his age, 54, but looks young hehe either forrester if he wants a suv or wrx...para mahiram namin hehe
anyway, point ko lang...fortuner...di sulit...almost all the people who buy this suv doesnt even have an idea how it drives or how hard the ride is...basta lang ba makiuso sa uso...typical filipino...
now the forrester...i never appreciated it until i have opened my eyes and ears and heard and felt its awesome power every single morning, thanks to our friendly neighbor
even if id save up, i will never have enough to buy one,
so for now i will swallow my pride and wake up every morning, stare and pause in silence so that i could hear the purr of the forrester...ofcourse thanks to my neighbor again hahaha
you guys who bought one...i envy you

Nah, Forester isn't that expensive, it's only 1.5M++ i think. Nothing big. You can save up for it. :-)

bro, walang wrx version and Forester (Impreza lang). you probably meant XT or STi. i think the XT can be had for P1.65M. i'm not sure if you can special order the Forester STi sa Pinas or not, but i know it will cost you tons of money to get one. if you do get an STi, baka ikaw lang meron nyan sa Pinas.Last edited by wren; March 16th, 2007 at 03:35 PM.

March 16th, 2007 04:00 PM #78There's only one way to find out. If you have an MT Civic, I'm free anytime this weekend to test.
On a side note, visited Orange Performance yesterday to see if there's anything I could do to improve the performance of my ride. Had a good discussion with Dominique, the owner of the place. He was kind enough to give me a crash course on tuning and even diagnosed my XT's engine for me. As it turns out, the engine wasn't very happy with the fuel currently in the tank. The ECU was telling the engine to compensate for low octane fuel (below the minimum 95 octane required by the engine) by adjusting a bunch of parameters and degrading performance a bit. In fact, it was surprisingly close to going into limp mode. I wasn't expecting this to happen since I only fill up with S***l V-P*w*r at the station along C5.
Petron along EDSA near Greenhills supposedly has good quality fuel according to him. Will give it a try after i run down my tank.
