i'm not saying it's better, it will still depend on your needs but the XV will be a better daily driver since the transmission is better than the forester and fc and ride is much better.
feedback from other owners
- Seats feel more supportive. No leather option for both though.
- Standard version has a factory tint for the rear windows already, ala-USDM versions. Premium version wala daw according to rep.
- Nice factory foglight beneath the rear bumper just like the GVF STI
- Paddle shifters are nice.
- Ride definitely more firm than the Forester meaning the ride is much better and not as bouncy as the Forester
- Manual seat adjustments for both Standard and Premium variants
- Drives really smooth thanks to the CVT transmission, perfect daily driven car
from another owner who i think is also a member here.
Okay, ride - it feels solid but, very comfortable. When I say solid, I don't have that feeling of tipping over when I manage turns at 80-100kph (yes I am crazy). I mentioned comfortable because my fats don't bounce when I am driving in EDSA. Hehehe.
FC, way better than the tucson. I filled it up with XCS the moment I got it, and now as I type, my current kilometer reading is 455kms and I still have 2 bars Left. I am still learning this hi-tech info in my computer screen when it comes to the FC.
the only downside it has against the forester 2.0 is the space but everything else the XV wins.

^There is no 2.5li (non turbo)available here unlike in the US.
The XS is 2.0li (FB20) only, but its a new gen engine called the FB series. The XT, as in the previous years, is using the EJ25 2.5li turbo charged.

I didn't tint the sunroof. I find the a/c pertty strong when set to the coldest temp, even for summer. On clear nights, especially on out of town trips, I prefer to see the moon and stars clearly, unobstructed by tint. Sets the mood for romantic getaways. Then I get some satisfaction.
