It all started with Patafa accusing Obiena that he did not pay his coach which later on the coach refute the claim of Patafa and saying he was paid by Obiena. Then Patafa dig deeper accusing Obiena of not properly handling reimbursement fund and so on and so forth..... until this day Patafa finally filed a case against Obiena.

Yes from my understanding so the issue here is about money which Patafa is accusing Obiena of mishandling. They could have settled this issue privately but Patafa keeps on gossiping this issue to media.

they actually give the money to the athlete-in-training, who in turn hands it over to the coach?
why don't they hand the money over to the coach themselves?
don't distract the athlete from his training.

i wonder,
is this the usual or accepted manner by which coaches get paid?

actually ang malakas na backers ngayon ni juico ay sila sap bong go at cong rufus rodriguez. kaya nga nasa patafa pa iyan kasi kasangga niya mga nasa poder. they all come from the same educational background so i guess school ties have been a big factor for him in this admin.

kaya it's no surprise juico is still influential kasi kung hindi iyan ka-alyado sa tingin niyo ba manantili iyan sa poder ng athletics at track & field commissions dito sa atin? remember, all the opposition figures the davao bloc can purge have been purged since they took the reigns of power. it's just his luck na kapwa duterte boy din ang katapat niya sa poc na may apparent adversarial history din sila.

to clarify, juico did start out as cory aquino's man at the dept of agrarian reform in the 80's but has since ingratiated himself to those in power in the years that followed. if ever political hopping will be made into a sport, this guy will definitely take the cake and eat it too.
