For me it was lifestyle change. My cholesterol levels are borderline but not enough to justify my high blood pressure. The culprit: too much sodium in my body, which leads to my blood thickening.

Babalik na naman tayo sa sugar and cholesterol...the problem is not cholesterol which our body needs to create hormones...its sugar...notice when people take statins, theyll have erectile dsyfunction plus have a higher chance of having alzheimer's disease, the prime ingredient of testosterone is cholesterol and when you take statins, you are killing your brain, which is made up of cholesterol.

Wala naman masama sa maintenance meds basta monitor ka ng doctor mo, kaya nga they do complete blood chem every 6 months para alam nila kung effective yung meds at side effect sa ibang organs mo.

Bro, nobody wants to take maintainance meds forever, there is a way to reverse everything, problem is, it hard, its always easier to take a pill, i took the harder route..

Aside from sugar consumption, the other culprit is too much processed food in our diet. Anything with a company logo is bad for your health. There's way too many chemical additives and preservatives in their food products. Go natural and prepare food in the kitchen. Your body will thank you for it.

I can eat pancakes, chocolates and other sugary foods without gaining weight, you just need to know bout food timing and how your body works...alas, everybody is not the same, might work for me might not work for anyone else...btw, i cook my own food..

I've met quite a few who were diagnosed witj HT w/o feeling any symptoms. Just a random check/nagkatuwaan lang. I was first diagnosed during a routine office APE even though I was feeling fine at the time. I ignored the doctor for a follow up. A month later the headaches and dizziness started. Then theee are those who do not want a checkup because they don't want to know/what I do not know won't kill me, until its too late.
