    Not sure about the Altis but on most cars it's colored blue.

    A minute is too long. Should not take more than 20 secs to stabilize. Just enough time to lock the doors, pull the seatbelt, and setup bluetooth.

    The Altis still has a temp gauge with a needle, as opposed to other cars in its price range that only have an indicator light. As long as the needle isn't at C (cold) anymore, that's pretty warmed up already.

    Since you're at 800 already, just wait until after your 1k PMS before bringing out to a long drive.

    it takes longer for 15w40 conventional oil to warm up.

    I'm using 15w40 mineral on my 2NZ and it stabilizes at around 20 secs.

    just timed my friends corolla...took 3 minutes to stabilize to 1000rpm. even then the temp gauge didnt even went quarter way up.
