August 24th, 2018 04:44 PM #61My trip to Ankor Wat, Cambodia was an interesting one and this caught my eye mainly because of the Mano Cornuto or the Devil's horn hand sign on this stone carving of a Khmer princess:
It's not only here but every temple I've visited in every Asian country I've been to. It's everywhere. I've also been to an old European Church in Indonesia and to my astonishment, it's on one of the religious statues there. I'll post the picture here once my external hadisk enclosure arrives next week. My two desktop computers just died on me and I need to remove the hardisks and install it to the enclosure so I can access the data through my laptop.
I walked for 15 mins and I found this ancient structure and it happened to be the King's palace, if I'm not mistaken. Women are not allowed here if they are not covered properly. There's a guard there to make sure everyone complies.
The stairs were rather steep. Very steep. This is the view from the second level.
When I reached the top, I was surprised to find a pyramid structure sitting there. One strange thing about this is, the architecture is different from the rest. It looks like it belonged to the Aztecs/Mayans. Perhaps, Quetzalcoatl/Kukulkan was here as their king. lol
Some dark passages within the ancient structure feels like there are some kind of "presence" lurking within the darkness.

August 24th, 2018 05:11 PM #62When I was in Seoul, I followed this doomsday 666 guy in Myeongdong, lol. I was curious where his base was, so I followed him to their leader.
He led me to this small booth.
I saw this lady preaching in Korean. I guess this is their leader, lol. I took her picture and I was laughing a bit, but, I think she got pissed at me and was ready to throw the Bible at me. I quickly ran for dear life before she kills me. LMAO!

September 15th, 2018 12:29 AM #67The external hardrive enclosure I bought a couple of weeks ago is working very smoothly. I'm now able to access files from my desktop hard disks via the USB port. Great! For my blog, I'm currently in the process of choosing a wordpress theme and I still need to fill it up with content. Lots of content. Including all the deleted contents here. I'll just have to back date it to 2016.
I don't think I have any plans reviving my desktops as it's really tiresome because the motherboards do not last that long. Average lifespan is about 3 years. My laptops are very reliable. If something goes wrong, it's either the battery or the hard disk which is very easy to replace. Nothing major.
The 2.5" 1TB hard disk I've ordered online arrived on my doorstep. It's for the HP laptop which is in need of a new hard disk because I got an error code of 301 which means an imminent hard disk failure.
Now, it's time for the doctor to operate. Hard disk transplant in progress. The patient is now on its back. She's very fragile, so I must handle her with care. The hard disk is the heart and soul of the laptop. Your memories, your life's work, your pain, your sorrows and all your darkest secrets are all in there.
Now, I will remove the cover to access her heart. It's right there on the bottom right.
Slowly removing her heart carefully now.
Here is her heart upclose. She is broken as I have taken her for granted. She needs constant care and attention. I keep forgeting that. Lots of don'ts. Sometimes things can get really complicated.

September 15th, 2018 12:31 AM #68Transplanting a new heart for her.
Now, covering her up and hopefully all is well.
Initializing hardrive, partitioning it, and formating it. She's now wide awake.
How are you feeling right now? I hope I've successfully mended your heart.

bro there's a computer and laptop tech thread...
hmm motherboards don't last? which board exactly? Intel boards from asus gigabyte MSI are robust
the reason some laptops last long is that the heat they produce is very little. computer cases must have adequately air flow to make them reliable with proper filtration. otherwise those dust bunnies will haunt you.
