depends on what they are... NiCD or NiMH? I would assume you are talking about NiMH batteries. Although they last longer, sometimes fast charging and high heat kills them pretty quick.

If you are wondering about cost... maybe you should try keeping track on the number of cycles you have run your batteries through? Assuming one cycle is equivalent to one alkaline battery (in reality, an alkaline battery has less power than the modern NiMH we have now).

May style kami sa mga bateryang hindi na mag-charge.... You have to "shock" them by applying >5V for a 1.2V (1.5V) battery for a short duration of time. Almost all of the time, they recover.... Just make sure that you connect the terminals properly...

gumamit ka na lang ng Charger na may discharge capacity. ganyan kase ang ginagawa ko ay umaayos naman... though mahina na talaga yung baterry.

I have used Energizer, Sony and GP. Pinaka pangit ang Energizer noong naglabas sila ng 2500mAh NiMH. Now I use Sanyo Eneloop for about 10 months. Tinapon ko na ang other brands na nagamit go.

this kind battery is very practical. most of all for long term use. you just have to recharge it over and over. just don't over charge. it will shorten the life span of the battery.
