I seem to have found the issue though - I'm constantly hitting the 100 deg C limit of my processor at max load so it throttles down and thus hampers performance:

Solution: Undervolting via Throttlestop. 90mV undervolt on the processor and 30mV on the GPU. My temps dropped by an average of 10 degrees even at full load:

Laptop now keeps at higher Turbo Boost for longer, even maintaining peak clock speed of 4 GHz.

Was gonna reco throttlestop if high temps were found. 15w(ish?) cpu and its still overheating. It could be the thermal paste. I got some tools and thermal paste for a laptop upgrade for one fam member.

Yan yung nuclear option ko - change the thermal paste. But I would assume an X1 Carbon would be well-built enough not to need thermal paste replacement in less than 2 years.

Thankfully nasolve ng undervolting.

Kaya naman.
Basya goods GPU pati RAM.

Namimili pa ako ng GPU pero I'll go with Nvidia over AMD GPU

Ngayon lang ako ulit nag AMD after 14 years siguro.
Atlhon 64 last na AMD ko, tapos Intel na.
Pentium 4, Dual Core, Core 2 Quad, i3, i5. Then eto ngayon Ryzen.

Susprised that they had this type of CPU na.

Needs video card to run flight sim. Add 20k to this build to run flight sim with a RTX 2060
