Shipping through the Suez Canal and Red Sea has been suspended by 2 of the largest shippers in the world. They now have circle around Africa which will take additional 2 weeks.

Shipping giants Hapag-Lloyd and Maersk pause Red Sea travel

Two shipping giants, Hapag-Lloyd and Maersk, are pausing their travel through the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait in the Middle East following a series of attacks on their vessels by Iranian-backed Houthi militants from Yemen.

Maersk, the world’s second largest container shipping company, moves 14.8% of the world’s trade. It said it would divert ships away from the Red Sea. The Houthi group backs Hamas, the Palestinian militant group, and has said it is targeting vessels headed for Israel.

In an email to CNBC, a Maersk spokesman said the Danish company is deeply concerned about the highly escalated security situation in the southern Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. The recent attacks on commercial vessels in the area are alarming and pose a significant threat to the safety and security of seafarers, the spokesman added, saying that employees’ safety is the company’s top priority.

Hapag-Lloyd, which controls about 7% of the global container ship fleet, told CNBC in an email, that it will “pause all container ship traffic through the Red Sea until Monday. Then we will decide for the period thereafter.”

The Bab el-Mandeb Strait is between the Horn of Africa and the Middle East. It connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea, which feed into the Indian Ocean. This waterway is used by container ships and exports of petroleum and natural gas from the Persian Gulf.

Approximately 12% of the world’s trade, which includes 30% of all global containers, move through the Suez Canal. That then feeds through the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb. The significance of the Suez Canal was thrust into the spotlight in March 2021, when container ship the Ever Given was stuck for six days.

The longer the war drags on, the longer Israel's economy will suffer...

For a week now, the Israeli army has not moved an inch in Gaza

On the other hand, they have a huge number of casualties among the officers according to official reports of the Israeli Army.

According to the numbers, even 27% of the Israeli officers were eliminated, or more precisely 108 in number.

According to Al Jazeera, 5 colonels, 8 with the rank of lieutenant colonel, 43 majors, 41 captain and 11 lieutenants are among the eliminated. The majority of these are officers in elite teams.

    What is happening to them?

Snipers are happening to them. With the brutal bombardment, they turned Gaza into sniper nests for Hamas, who are now hunting the officers. What's funny and interesting is that most of these officers are kids just over 20 years old.

Another interesting fact is that the Israeli army, despite its outnumbering and technological superiority over Hamas, as well as the support on the ground from the US and Britain, in 2 months of fighting, Israel managed to capture roughly 20% of Gaza. As the Israeli army, which is the attacker in this case, suffers heavy losses, the intensity and their progress becomes slower and slower, and even static.

The war is still far from over and it is likely that Israel will try to break through Hamas's defense with new major strikes and risky attacks, which will result in even greater losses among their soldiers.

My estimates in a previous post are that Hamas will manage to hold out for 7 months and very successfully "cripple" the Israeli military, before Hezbollah is fully involved.

But judging by the statements of politicians in the US and Israel, it is highly likely that the US will fight Hezbollah in the name of Israel, which can hardly deal with a group as poorly armed as Hamas.

Shoot first ask questions later... Shows only how the Zionists treat any shirtless Palestinians with a white flag.

Israeli hostages killed mistakenly in Gaza were holding white flag, official says

The incident happened in an area of intense combat where Hamas militants operate in civilian attire and use deception tactics, the official said.

A soldier saw the hostages emerging tens of meters from Israeli forces in the area of Shejaiya, the official said.

"They're all without shirts and they have a stick with a white cloth on it. The soldier feels threatened and opens fire. He declares that they're terrorists, they (forces) open fire, two are killed immediately," said the military official.

The third hostage was wounded and retreated into a nearby building where he called for help in Hebrew, the official said.

"Immediately the battalion commander issues a ceasefire order, but again there's another burst of fire towards the third figure and he also dies,"
said the official. "This was against our rules of engagement," he added.

The military on Friday identified the three hostages as Yotam Haim and Alon Shamriz, abducted from Kibbutz Kfar Aza, and Samer Talalka, abducted from nearby Kibbutz Nir Am, all kidnapped by Hamas on Oct. 7.

With what is happening in the world now, I think quite a few people already assume that World War 3 is inevitable and this is sad
