November 17th, 2009 11:11 AM #311Nakabili na ako ng ECU for our Nissan Urvan Estate pero di ko pa kinakabit. We have performed the necessary fluid change na pero nagdadalawang isip pa kami kung kami magkakabit or dalhin namin sa shop. Safe ba kung kami na lang magsalpak or kung hindi saan kaya pwede dalhin? Ok kaya sa Speedyfix?

November 17th, 2009 11:57 AM #312Hi. Im new in this forum. I don't undestand anything about cars. I'm still even learning how to drive. I live in Pasig Greenpark. During Ondoy, our civic 08 is in the casa but we borrowed by father in law's 2002 bmw 325i. It was totally submerged. I was able to have it towed after 2 days. It's now being repaired at European motors. They estimated that it could cost around 500T to restore it and they can't even give a warranty on its performance. Would it really cost that high to have a bmw restored? I'm thinking of having it traded-in and just buy my father in law a similar model. Any thoughts?

December 2nd, 2009 10:14 AM #320Hi guys, just to share: my Kia Carens was also flooded during Ondoy. It was towed to Kia last October 2 and it was only yesterday that Kia received an LOA from my insurer, Standard Insurance. What I'm worried about is, Kia had issued a repair/replacement estimate of almost P600,000 but Standard only issued an LOA in the amount of roughly P360,000. Sabi nila, the remainder is subject to re-assessment / re-evaluation if it can still be repaired. Kia told me that anything in their estimate that is not replaced will no longer be covered by their warranty...
I'm still pressuring Standard to approve an LOA in the same amount as the Kia estimate but then again, it's also possible that Kia is ballooning the repair estimate because they know that it's covered by insurance and is just using it as a way to weasel their way out of their warranty obligations... What do you guys think? Any input would be appreciated....
Also, I've been hearing stories here in the threads where cars repaired after the flood suddenly conk or die out while being driven... That seems scary.... How can I be assured that this won't happen to my car even after it's supposedly fixed?
By the way, this is mqavila (from before). I had to create a new account because I could no longer log on with my previous account...
