January 5th, 2008 11:40 PM #121Latest from Mr. Enrico:
- The employer has decided to sent Mr. Jun Holasca back to the Philippines to recruit workers for the project. The only thing that is being work out right now is his booking but it is possible that he may be able to depart tonight. Mr. Jun's assignment is to hire 5 people of different skills is intended for the production phase of the project, and that he should be back in Riyadh within ten days with the list of possible hires. That will be the time that he can get his unpaid salaries and the group might then be allowed to go home. The problem is that, Mr. Enrico might still not be allowed to go home considering his importance to the project. As far as he is concern, he really felt threatened by the pronoucement of his employer, which accused Mr. Enrico of trying to leave the project and leaving him in the air.
Mr. Enrico's desire really is to go home as soon as possible, but he is hesitant that other member of the team might be compromised. That's why he is really requesting for prayers that might hopefully change the mind set of his employer. -
I promised to call again tomorrow for update regarding Mr. Jun's travel.

January 5th, 2008 11:56 PM #123I've actually been in contact with Mr. Enrico since tuesday but was not able to post here because of urgent works in the office.
Anyway, Mr. Enrico's urgent need is really prayers that the mind set of his employer would change and somehow allow them to go home soon. I know what Jedi is talking about how desperate Mr. Enrico is just by talking to him.
Per Mr. Enrico the money sent by Jedi will by picked up from Western Union by the receiver and would be brought to them tonight. I'm sure they'll send SMS once they have it. I'll make an update about it tomorrow.

January 6th, 2008 11:41 PM #124Todays update: 5:34 PM Saudi Time
Jun Holasca's trip was postpone yesterday to tonight. They already got the money last night and the first thing they'll do is to shipped out their heavy belongings to the Philippines by tomorrow or the day after. This is just to get ready just in case they need to immediately leave the worksite. Enrico's is still hopefull that they can settle the issue with their employer without resorting to drastic action. And that, even if they have to go without being paid of their wages as long as they be allowed to leave for home. I can understand Mr. Enrico's fears since he is the object of harrassment by his employer. Maybe the employer had sense that something is planned by the group that might jeopardized his business or his project.
As always, Enrico is soliciting more prayers from everybody that somehow this could be settled out and they'll be back home soon.

January 7th, 2008 11:04 PM #127Update:
Jun Holasca finally was able to travel home last night and is already in the Philippines. As per Enrico, the two other members of the group was offered by his boss exit if they wish to go home. I think the employer is avoiding to pay the rest of their salary. So far, Enrico said, he and the two others were not offered or talked to about going home. Enrico says maybe because their employer sees them as very important to his project.
