It's quick and fast enough but jaggerx is right that it's on the heavy side. Which is ok for me since it is also one of the biggest PPVs. The extra interior space makes the porky curb weight worth it for me.

I love the brakes. Strong, well modulated and progressive. The steering is still on the heavy side though. 3 point turns are its worst enemy. At 140kph it's a bit too light naman. Haven't taken it above that but it feels like the steering is gonna be too light at 180kph.
The test drive unit we drove only had 100kms on it so I was assuming the possibility of the shifting points might change later but Nissan BGC couldn't confirm it.

I don't recall experiencing shift shock on low gears but a friend of mine who just got his Terra said he noticed it in his unit. So he is observing it for the time being.

Braking is nice on the car, properly tuned so that the vehicle doesn't lurch forward if you are gently braking the vehicle.

Can't say much about speed, highest I got it on test drive was around 4th gear only, which as I mentioned was more responsive with shifting compared to the lower gears (1st and 2nd). Still, target is around next year to inquire price then and if there is any discount. It's a toss up between that and the Montero by then, barring any other external factors that might influence the purchasing decision.

Havent felt any shift shock at all, cant even tell if the gears are changing.

My biggest gripe is aesthetic, this annoying black step boards. Should have been brushed aluminum. [emoji28]

Yup agree there, its a fam hauler for me so the extra space really is worth it and didn't feel it lumbering in anyway either.

If one wants quick and fast, nothing beats a gasoline engine.

Very excited to test drive a Terra this week. I've been contemplating which VL version to go with, 4x2 or 4x4. I cannot find the gas consumption between the two and if its a big difference. I'll mostly do city driving, maybe every once in awhile go on a road trip but its not often. Main reason to have a 4x4 is during those times of heavy rain or having that possibility of going off roading but it will matter if there is a big difference in gas consumption.

go with 4x2 as most of the time kahit 4x4 ang unit mo, naka-engage pa din naman sa 4x2. i have a 4x4 but seldom lang nagagamit, minsan kung maalala ko lang i-engage[emoji28] kahit nka 4x2, kaya naman yung mga akyatan at unpaved roads sa probins. about sa fuel consumption, sa 4x2 ka na lang magbase at hindi mo naman i-daily drive sasakyan mo na naka-engage sa 4x4 [emoji849] at kung big difference, hindi sa fuel consumption ka tumingin, kung hindi sa presyo ng 4x2 at 4x4.

Got to test drive the VL 4x2 variant today at PIMS. The test drive was very short and traffic was terrible at Macapagal.

Pulling power was very strong! After the test drive i was surprised na 450nm pala ang max torque nito.

Brakes are adequate for me. Despite the rear drums.

Steering is heavy. Feels similar to the previous gen montero. Steering wheel for me is “thin”..i prefer a thick and meaty steering wheel.

Ride is a bit on the stiff side.

Nothing much i can say. Bitin ang test drive.

What size and offset are your wheels on the Terra? That's about the amount i want my tires to stick out
