Montero 4x2 Automatic umaatras kahit konting incline lang????

Guys with 4x2 Automatic. Does your montero 4x2 AT slide backwards on "D" when you stop on the slope and release the brakes? The slope is not really steep and there's no passengers but when I release the brake it slides backward continously just like its in Neutral even if its on "D". Is this a problem with the Automatic Transmission or is there something that needs to be adjusted at the casa?

How long did you have to leave your montero to have your steering problem repaired? I am experiencing steering feedback knocks. I also had this problem with my ford escape... casa replaced the cross-joint then voila no more knocking sound.

Just 1,100 kms on the Odo and guess what?

I also have the 'knock' being felt strongly on my steering wheel. Intensifies on gravel roads and sudden jerking to either sides at the wheel.

Oh well, I guess some things never change at Mitsubishi.

pa check mo yung steering shaft universal joint niya ... kasi mayroon na itong Technical Bulletin at pinapalitan dahil under warranty ito ewan ko lang kung applicable ito sa Manila? so far yung sa bahay di pa naman natunog...

tc327 - Yes sir, I read about it sa Strada threads. It is a bit unnerving kasi parang may kakalas hehe. I bought this for my wife and she was the one who noticed it so when I tested it, true enough, when I tried jerking it from side to side while naka-off ang engine (parked) ang lakas ng tunog.

trekkers - Thanks for the advice sir I'll have the casa check it by Monday. I would also prefer that they replace the entire column (?) if applicable to give the wifey peace of mind

I think the warranty replacement applies nationwide.

i think it's normal because of the wait of the monty and if the one's driving is from a gas fed auto tranny, big difference talaga. but if you try the monty on a climb, there you will appreciate it's pure power - lakas sa akyatan
Guys, ask ko lang, just got my GLS SE last week and ganyan nga ang feeling under hard acceleration from standstill. sa Fortuner 3.0 namin, di ganyan ang shifting. smooth sya kahit pedal to the floor. could there be a defect with my monty or is it just the shift programming?

I brought my steering problem to the local casa here last week.

The service was super quick as they have anticipated this problem already. Took them only 2 hours to replace the entire steering column. No questions asked, no fuss.

They nicknamed the new column 'magnum' since they say it is the ultimate fix.

I was out of there before noon.

Kudos to Mitsu Pit Crew!
