December 9th, 2009 08:21 PM #372Montero 4x2 Automatic umaatras kahit konting incline lang????
Guys with 4x2 Automatic. Does your montero 4x2 AT slide backwards on "D" when you stop on the slope and release the brakes? The slope is not really steep and there's no passengers but when I release the brake it slides backward continously just like its in Neutral even if its on "D". Is this a problem with the Automatic Transmission or is there something that needs to be adjusted at the casa?

Just 1,100 kms on the Odo and guess what?
I also have the 'knock' being felt strongly on my steering wheel. Intensifies on gravel roads and sudden jerking to either sides at the wheel.
Oh well, I guess some things never change at Mitsubishi.

tc327 - Yes sir, I read about it sa Strada threads. It is a bit unnerving kasi parang may kakalas hehe. I bought this for my wife and she was the one who noticed it so when I tested it, true enough, when I tried jerking it from side to side while naka-off ang engine (parked) ang lakas ng tunog.
trekkers - Thanks for the advice sirI'll have the casa check it by Monday. I would also prefer that they replace the entire column (?) if applicable to give the wifey peace of mind
I think the warranty replacement applies nationwide.

I brought my steering problem to the local casa here last week.
The service was super quick as they have anticipated this problem already. Took them only 2 hours to replace the entire steering column. No questions asked, no fuss.
They nicknamed the new column 'magnum' since they say it is the ultimate fix.
I was out of there before noon.
Kudos to Mitsu Pit Crew!
