Eh? The Montero ranks second to the Fortuner in terms of sales (8k to 5k).

The montero's volume started to decline when the new STRADA was launched in thailand and when it was launched here. It became the signal to most buyers that the new Montero is just around the corner...

Thanks for the correction, The 4N15 MIVEC is conservatively pegged under 180HP, or about 174 hp in some regions.

BTW, heard thru the grape vine that the incoming Monty will come in the old but trusty updated 4D56. But like I said its all good since in the 4x2 category, the 4D56 still out performs at least in power and pull the 2.2 Everest , The 4x2 GD Fortuner and the MU-X.

So we can expect the 4N15 MIVEC for the TOTL MS siguro later on. Kakainin sila nang Fort na 2.8GD engine kasi kung yung vgs 4d56 pa rin lang TOTL nila. Siyempre mas matipid itong GD engine eh.
