I backread some threads that are almost half a decade old, and I realized Tsikot has become much more hostile and negative today than it was before.
I admit that I've fallen into this cycle as well, since I often post after a long day and exhibit poor choice of words whenever I'm stressed or bummed out. Surely some things could've been said in a nicer manner.
Anyway, it's a good wake-up call to be as friendly (or at least as neutral) as possible to make the forum a more inviting place to be in.

Thinking if i should follow my parent's advice to take an MBA course. They are willing to support me (financially) if i will enroll next year.

I say go for it. You've had a few years of corporate experience already so it's great timing. If you didn't graduate from a business course, even more appropriate. But if you did, best get your MBA abroad because most MBAs locally aren't much different from business courses in college.
Most common statement I've heard from business grads that took up their MBA here, "parang inulit ko lang yung 3rd at 4th year ng college with more business cases".

Thanks bro for the advice. Although i can support naman myself financially, parang gusto ko muna magpahinga since i just finished my MS Pharmacy degree.
I guess wrong move yung MS Pharmacy na kinuha ko dahil akala ko hindi ako mag-eenjoy sa corporate. Oh well, hindi na ako natapos sa pag-aaral.
My next dilemma will be the school. As much as i want to study in Manila, ayoko na sanang lumayo sa dito sa south.

I would advise against taking MBA if your expectation is to have a management job or a salary premium in corporate after graduation. What I find most beneficial with taking MBA is the personality/character development. If you are shy about public speaking, taking an MBA degree will help you become more confident in public speaking. You can also build your network in school.
I would suggest taking it abroad if you want a premium in your salary but it is very very very expensive. The next best thing to taking MBA abroad would be AIM but AFAIK it is taken full time and expensive as well. The AIM graduates I know back then they had a very intensive program. I am not sure about now. Go for the top 3 schools if you still want work/study life balance. Also do not quit your day job because the MBA degree will not offset the years loss in your job experience. For corporations, experience trumps an MBA degree.

Better to focus on being a superstar in your current job to get pirated by other companies so you can boost your pay grade.
The time spent taking your MBA can be spent on your job, so unless you can do both, focus on the MBA nalang. And since it's really much better to get your MBA abroad, I think a win-win situation is to get assigned short-term abroad (SG would be nice) and take up your MBA there, to be paid by the company. Only drawback is that you will most likely be tied to a contract of several years of servitude to the company. If you have no plans of moving, then it's not bad at all.

Whatever your heart desires bro.... If you were to ask me, go for it... I was once adverse to the MBA program as it was my belief that people use that as their crutches because of their lack of educational prowess and training, but everything changed when we were "forced" into it some years ago... Gives you a different perspective on things and strategies... Not all roses but the positive significantly outweighs the runs of the mill...

Wife and myself were branded by our professors as people from the "other school", all in a jest of course, but we showed them that we are no pushovers...(a couple of them even told us in confidence that they occasionally compared our papers - and we told them that never did we glance at each other's paper).... Professors, well almost all of them, know what they are talking about and are experts on their field.... Very good experience and training for us....
