We spent almost six years in New York State. We lived at the Thousand Islands region which is by the northeastern shore of Lake Ontario. It's quite far from New York City, at least six hours by freeway.
I actually didn't like NYC. I mean it's okay to visit. But, I wouldn't live there. It's dirty. Many of the side streets stink. Plus, it's a very expensive place to live in. Come to think of it...... I find Metro Manila more fun than NYC if it wasn't for the traffic.

Four (five if we count the clueless kid) brains working together and we can't figure out how to get a huge, heavy computer desk inside the house. I mean we got it out of the house before back in 2008. But, none of us can remember how.
We decided to leave the desk in the garage.

^^^ That's a real pain bro... Trying to find out what you did right six years ago... Same house I suppose?
When in NYC, visit the magical Central Park (it is an advantage if you know how to bike) and try the Sabrett hotdogs in the area... You'll be disappointed with the latter....... it is nyc style of robbery...

Yup. Same house. My guess is the kitchen door leading to the garage was changed. Upon closer examination, we noticed it's now a pneumatic door that's narrower. I don't recall the door having a pneumatic mechanism. The lock is the same one we remembered. But, it's loose and doesn't quite fit the current door. Our previous tenant(s) must have done something to the previous door and then replaced it.
We still have friends and relatives in NY and NJ. So, we may do the occasional visit to NYC in the future. But, the tranquil Thousand Islands region will always be my favorite area in NY. Besides Lake Ontario, the region is close to Canada with both Ottawa and Montreal within a short driving distance.Last edited by Jun aka Pekto; October 12th, 2014 at 08:48 PM.
