the zapote area (near the palengkes) was flooded this afternoon. i'm told traffic was at a standstill. hopefully w/ the rainfall easing up, things may be back to normal pretty soon

the bad thing is that a lot of globe cellphone subscribers in the las pinas area is unreachable at the moment

Area passable na - Libis, Katipunan to UP, Ortigas hangang Rosario lang. Not passable pa before the Flyover to Riverbank from Libis, Barangka, Tumana, Ort...igas Junction going to Cainta. The rescue truck and pump boat is waiting for water to go down to cross other side of cainta and barangka.

I know where that area is. I've seen that part flood before. Hopefully the interior (Pamplona-RFC/Philamlife-BF Homes) has better drainage. Historically, it had. But, you never know..... When the water table swells up, bye bye drainage.

The flooding that occured in almost all the cities in Metro Manila and surrounding areas is unprecedented, IMO. No place/city was spared. Most stunning is that places that normally don't get flooded during typhoons got flooded this time around.

I heard that a lot of houses went under and people were left stranded on rooftops for hours waiting for rescue boats. It's really disheartening. As of this writing, it seems that in some places (e.g. Valenzuela) the flood is being complicated by high tide.

Let's just pray everyone is able to prevail through this adversity.
