the by appointment for specialists is not just for the US. you can only walk-in for GP doctors. the dosage amount is also not just for the US.

source: i have friends who are nurses overseas.

TS do you mind telling us where in America do you intend to reside?

I see a lot of tsikoteers mention about how boring it is in the US. I would say it depends in two things:
    1. Location and how close you are with immediate family and friends. If your place of residence is where the buffalos roam, then yes that is boring. Try Vegas and PM me if you still feel bored.
    2. Acceptance to change. The US is in many many ways different from the Philippines. If you are not prepared to make a lifestyle shift then your perception of boredom will not normalize.

Life in the Philippines is not that simple. Struggle everyday. 70k in the Philippines is nothing. This should not be considered in your equation.

    Try Australia.

70k in the Philippines is a stable income. It is a lot as long as spend wisely & put some on savings. Australia? Malaki ang tax deduction diyaan. At madami ding layoff of jobs diyaan sa Australia. To me im still wanna, settle down in the Philippines..

70k is good enough if you have a simple lifestyle. pero kung maluho kang tao, kulang pa talaga yan.

TS, if you're not happy and don't see your kids growing up here, you could pack up and leave and try your fortune sa US. But if you're contented with your lifestyle then stay and just make improvements. A business kapag nakaipon is a good start.

Hundreds upon thousands of people here in the Philippines would take that 70k without batting an eyelash, so consider that in a good financial position. 70k in the US in nothing, that is for sure.

However, it is worth considering migrating in Australia. Very peaceful life. Lots of outdoor activities, One of the highest standard of living in the world. And isolated from the current problems that the world has.
