By the way, the one question as well is what about sourcing out of parts. How did you go about it? Any pitfalls? Did you source locally? From the guys you were dealing with in Bulacan? In pampanga? If so what was the quality and price like?
Did you import?
What is your general feedback on your experience with parts so we can have a better idea how to approach things.
Please keep us posted on your progress.

OT:
RE insurance, it was discussed in a previous thread that no insurance company would accept these cars. Which makes me wonder because our old w114 in the province is currently insured, of course that model's 10 years or so younger, so it may not apply to american muscle. I shudder to think of some careless jeep ramming into something you have spent so much time, effort and money on, only to have the erring jeepney driver scratch his head and say "wala akong pambayad, 8 po anak ko blah blah blah".
BTTT:
Any updates sir? Would love to see how alex restoration is faring

Hi Chip,
The body work and prepping is all done. It's scheduled to be painted (apple candy red) this week until Saturday.
I reckon the interior work will start next week. I'll take pics this Saturday and post it here!

Mustang replacement parts and new original parts - MUSTANGS UNLIMITED (Georgia) and MUSTANGS PLUS (California)
Aftermarket Parts - SUMMIT RACING
All of them have websites: mustangsunlimited.com mustangsplus.com summitracing.com
I consolidate the parts through my sister's home in Georgia and have it shipped to the Phils via balikbayan box.
Locally, well... there are those who offer but CAVEAT EMPTOR (buyer beware). Not recommended though unless you really know the seller very well.

A friend of mine gets their mustang parts from somewhere in binondo daw, ill have to ask her brother for specifics when I get back.
How about surplus shops? Is it worth it to take a trip there?
I guess you are right, we must be careful when dealing with sellers we dont know. Fortunately, all the people Ive dealt with so far have been very good to me
