almost bought the following recently, but it didnt work out:
-g20 i posted before, clean in and out and drove perfect. but thanks to my infiniti dealer, free inspection and wash, they found over $2k worth of needed repairs.
200sx with only 55k miles. interior almost new. almost got it but got beat.
this weekend i have the following:
-high mileage 2000 g20's but cheap. might get one if clean and under $4k.
-new kia rio lx for $9k. lots of deals lately (including $10k off sedona and sorento). msrp on this is $14k. if none of the g20's are available, i might get this.

rio didnt work, dealer cant offer the additional incentive unless i have a kia within 3 years. looked at a g20 sport earlier and went home to look into expected cost for repairs and body work. i got home and decided "thats it for car search today..." but then i refreshed some ad listing and found this - my 5th nissan: 99 g20t touring edition
same as my previous one except limited slip, different seat style, and maybe few more.
practically new with 37k miles with a few scratches and a little hit on the rear fender.
interior still smells and looks like a new car. the only thing i found are small stains on the floormats. still cant believe i found one with this miles and this condition. i found a few g20s near this condition and got beat already a few times, this time i got it. the owner posted the ad late morning, and i was buying it within 5 hours

"score" was the word i thought of when i brought this baby home
.
so far so good. my shop said "nearly brand new" mechanical condition after inspection.
new fuzion hri's, oil change, and few belts, the car even drives better. not sure if i will want to resell this one.
next, i have to take care of the oxidized and fading paint. ill try megs colorx before i get it professionally done. i also have to treat the exposed rubber and plastic parts since the car was outdoors for some time. then remove the excess shine on the interior.

Hmmm... for a real "score", you may want to check mbt's new ride:

Just drove it this morning... fan-freaking-tastic condition for a ten-year-old car... felt more like a two year old car. Only issues are related to rubber and plastic deterioration over time, but it's otherwise immaculate.... 37,000 kilometers... around just 20,000 miles... aside from the discolored plastic top in the radiator, this damn thing is fresher than my Lynx!

now that makes mine just a "nice find"
. i did consider some 2 seaters like z3 and a few 350z (sold right away at around 10K), but i have to consider sedan since i have to take my daughter with me daily too. maybe for the next one...
i just finished cleaning and conditioning the leather and the interior. next, paint buff/polish to remove stuff stuck in the paint. since i got a few things done, this thing rides so smooth and quiet that i am having difficulty convincing myself to sell it. i guess it just compliments how nice the car is and how lucky the future owner will be.

its been advertised for a few weeks already and had few leads. a few intial calls, one annoying bargain hunter via texting, and one recent current infiniti owner looking for one for their kid. the last conversation sounded promising. she knows infiniti and understands that the car is hard to find. fewer inquiries this time though not surprised with the current economy here. i see so many next potentials but then cars are much harder to sell at this time.
i had a near confrontation with a nutcase on my way to lunch earlier. this imbecile has the guts to comeback at me and do a staredown after he went through a 6 way parking area stop sign before his turn and i am already in the middle of the intersection. at first i decided to leave the lot to avoid any escalation, but then i decided to make a u turn and thought "i will not let this d**b f**k affect me" and proceeded to park and have my lunch. i think i did the right thing though things can get worse and i might get hurt (he's about wrestler size from my view, made his altima look like a yaris sedan). i did park the car where visible while i eat.

Pare wag mo na patulan. Yeah mahirap na ganyan, just keep an eye out. Not worth it. Had my fare share of those things even to the point of jotting down his license plate number. Wrong place + wrong time = bad!

you are right. i just look through them as if they do not exist. they make me look like a pro driver. safe but very mean
looks like this might be it for gigi2. from 0 leads last few weeks to 4 yesterday! one is flying here to see the car and offered cash, one may or may not call back, another asking to see the car asap, and another to call today to make an appointment.
hopefully a smooth transaction again. im looking at the the following next:
