Have you noticed the front proximity sensors don't activate without putting the car in reverse first?
The front proximity sensors AFAIK is active automatically when you start the car even if you turn it off from your last drive, just like the lane departure warning. You have to turn it off every time if you don't want it active on your trips.

Got my CX9 last year and so far have been very satisfied with the performance & handling. One thing I appreciate is the NVH of this car.

At around 16k km odo, I had the 12mos service done recently and was surprised that they found the rear brake pads already needs to be replaced. Would like to know your experience also on servicing aspect.

    Thanks!

Service is free! That is, if you are still under Yojin's Warranty.

Not sure if Brake Pads are covered as part of warranty. It's strange to have breakpads replaced at 16K mileage. Stranger too, that it's the rear as the front ones normally wear out first. My experience is around 40K for the front and approx 60-70K for the rear. Thats for a sedan (Mazda6) but the CX9 is obviously heavier. Keep us posted. Got my unit Dec 2017 with only 10K mileage.
Which dealer btw? I sourced my 6 at Greenhills and the CX9 from Pasig.

Got my Unit from Otis around Sept last year and had the first 2 check-up there. I suspect that my break pads might have been tampered there. I transferred to Makati since I know the mechanic and that’s when they found out my rear pads have only 2.9mm remaining 😡.

After parking overnight from driving in the rain, the rear brakes will always get stuck and will need a little more push to move the car. Had it checked by the service center but all they did was clean and sand the brake parts.

Also, when driving at very fast speeds, there's a whirring sound when I step on the brakes. This happens only at speeds above 140kph.

    Any one else experienced these?

Seriously considering the Mazda cx9 2wd, not the awd. Is it FWD or RWD for the 2wd? any feedbacks from current owners regarding FC, handling, any issues that will be helpful for prospective buyers like me, will be highly appreciated.
