August 29th, 2015 05:44 PM #511I just got home from my 1000kms PM. I totally forgot the rebate as well. I already received my Car Cover and the Seat Cover that is ugly AF. Haha!
Also, in continuation of my story from before wherein my SA had been subject for termination, apparently, it wasn't related on the paperworks - CSR, OR/CR. I was overcharged and asked to pay for free stuff. The TPL payment I did was overcharged by Php 1000.00 and my tint (that I paid for Php 3500.00) will be refunded to me. This is because I kept demanding receipts and my agent wasn't able to provide any. If you were asked to pay for something, demand for a receipt. :p

August 29th, 2015 06:39 PM #514^and that is cash? Weird, free LTO and TPL are standard for all vehicle purchases at all casas regardless of cash or financing. They can withhold the comprehensive insurance or even tints but not those 2.

When I was shopping around for the Ranger when it was new, not all dealerships offered free LTO. It depends on how hot the car is selling. These are the first to go free, but sometimes, dealerships choose to charge even these (as opposed to giving these for free and charging DI which I think is a more awful business practice).

August 29th, 2015 08:00 PM #516Well I have never experienced such a practice (Isuzu, Kia, Toyota and now Mazda) and from ericute's narrative I smell a scam. Good thing management got wind of it.

August 29th, 2015 09:17 PM #517Based on the the brochure of Mazda 2 Philippines. The power to weight ratio of the 2 is at 103. Considering the new Jazz is at 108 which is already a fast subcompact car.
Just for the sake of comparing the Mazda 3 1.5 is at 90 while the Altis 1.6 is at 97.
I'm pretty sure the 2 will beat these 2 in a 0-60 mph

August 29th, 2015 11:55 PM #519A manual Mz2 will beat a 1.6 Altis any day.
As far I recall, a 2 liter Altis top speed is at 195 while the top spec Mz3 is at 212 km/h. Referenced C! Magazine April 2014.
Guaranteed on flat even surfaces without any downhill slopes to help your 1.6 Altis won't reach 200 again.
