Flood Prone Streets database...

The lower parts of San Juan besides Santa Mesa floods. Streets such as Blumentritt in San Juan can have floods as high as your waist. Gilmore in New Manila would also have portions where it floods. On Tomas Morato, there is a portion where it dips and it always floods there.

Edsa contrary to popular belief alsohas a portion that floods. This is the area close to P Tuazon in QC if I'm not mistaken.

If you'd recall Monday's rainshowers, yung part ng EDSA sa harap ng Megamall, baha dun. Yung mga sasakyan kala mo nasa harap ng stoplight na naka red signal, walang gusto umabante! Sobrang pasasalamat ko nun at hindi ako nagdala ng sasakyan papasok. Daming stranded nun, buti natyempuhan ko pang maluwag ang MRT sa ortigas, bilis ko nakauwi, yun nga lang basa ako sa ulan.

Planning to fetch my wife tomorrow at Jaen, Nueva Ecija. Planned route is thru NLEX-San Simon Exit-J Abad Santos Ave. Can anyone confirm if this route is safe from flooding? Thanks!

Contrary to popular belief, hindi masyadong bahain ang Marikina, pinapalaki lang ng media, 30 yrs ako nakatira sa area at nung Ondoy lang talaga bumaha ng ganun, nasanay na ako na tuwing may bagyo eh tumataas talaga yung water level ng ilog, pero hindi naman bumabaha sa paligid (except of course for areas na nasa banks nung ilog)

Partally agree. Has lived in Sto. Nino and now in Concepcion at nung Ondoy nga lang din kami nakatikim ng matinding pagbaha. Before Ondoy we were unfazed kahit baha-baha na sa ibang parte ng Metro Manila. Ondoy changed all that though. Mas vigilant na ngayon.

Aside sa mga malapit sa river banks though, marami ring portions dito na madali talagang tumaas ang tubig. I mean streets na madalas maging unpassable after a heavy downpour especially para sa mga smaller vehicles. Valley nga kasi kaya marami ring low-lying areas na nagiging catch basin. Pero hintay ka lang ng mga 30 minutes after humina ang ulan mababa na ulit ang tubig.

Ang nakakabahala talaga ay yung siltation ng ilog. At its lowest water level, makikita mo na talagang ang baba na lang ng ilog ngayon.

Better to take NLEX - SCTEX - La Paz - Sta. Rosa IMO. Kahiot walang flooding, potholes naman kalaban mo.

Better to take NLEX - SCTEX - La Paz - Sta. Rosa IMO. Kahiot walang flooding, potholes naman kalaban mo.

Observe ko muna kung hanggang mamayang gabi up to morning e tuloy pa din ulan. Thanks, also saw in the news na baha na din daw sa Pampanga e, so malamang nga SCTEX na route ko bukas.

I just drove from Paranaque to Greenbelt for a meeting. I didn't pass any flooded streets. I drove on West service road onto Sales bridge, drove straight along Lawton road up to the Fort then took McKinley all the way to Ayala and Makati avenue. There aren't a lot of cars on the road and parking was a breeze!
