Hello Tsikoteers,
I am also a trooper owner 2003 with 4Jx1-tc engine. So far ok naman yung trooper ko but just got the same letter regarding the replacement. Had the service done and now my dad says the ride got smoother, more powerful. Di lang ako makarelate dahil wala ako sa Pinas. But overall I am happy that Isuzu made this call.

Hello Tsikoteers,

Had the service done just to be sure since it is free of charge. Now my dad says the ride got smoother, more powerful. Di lang ako makarelate dahil wala ako sa Pinas. June 19th, 2008 09:14 AM #518 Our company purchased two Isuzu Troopers on April and July 2003, respectively. By Early part of 2006, merely 2 years and several months from date of purchase, one one of the units went out of control or sustained a wild engine trouble. After thorough assessment of the matter, it was found out that the major part of the repairs involved was the injector assembly which Isuzu replaced for free.We filed a formal letter about the incident to Isuzu Phils. Whereby the extended their “sincerest apologies”, however, treating the incident as a remote inconvenience. In 2007, we brought the same unit back to Isuzu for reason of engine power shut down. Isuzu replaced the injector assembly, again, for free, but this time including the Turbo Charger which was also busted and had to be replaced.
The 2nd Isuzu Trooper that we bought has encountered almost the same problem on the same year. We Had to bring the 2nd unit to Isuzu Phils. Whose injector assembly and turbo charger was replaced, also for free.
It occurred to us that both Isuzu Troopers has factory defects on their injector and turbo charger assemblies.
If you are experiencing or had experienced the same problems with your vehicles especially Isuzu Troopers, then, we have the same recourse against Isuzu Phils. We encouraged you to come out in the open and together, united stronger, we are sure Isuzu Philippines could not ignore us! Pls reply.

Sir,
At least your FI and turbo was replaced free. Other owner's had to shell out P75K to have FI and sensors changed. Through a lot of people initiative, this somehow recall came about. Maybe to late for some, but for the others it gives them somehow of a satisfaction. After selling my troop, i got a letter after a week that they will replace the FI and sensors free of charge, pay lang is labor. Good thing the new owner covered the labor charge.
For me, sell your trooper while it still has value. If you noticed, the value of trooper vs pajero has a big gap considering same year purchase.
It maybe fixed now..but after a few months or a year from now..will it fail again?
thats the question. the 4jx1 was the first crdi with euro III compliant, but it wasn't full proof...i guess it was an experiment, the victims are the owners.
