question lang...
I had an alarm installed for my DMAX, autopage. Since I use this pick up for business, I also had a canopy installed, carryboy series 5.
my problem is that the alarm chirp stopped working and eventually the entire alarm will not disable once it is activated. I have to remove the fuse on the alarm to stop it. and leave the fuse out because whenever I reinsert the fuse, the alarm siren is still there. Carryboy, I think, tapped the defogger on the same line with my alarm shorted it out.
anybody who knows how to solve this problem. or at least opinion on why this is so.
just so you know. I had my alarm serviced from where I purchased it and the technician said carryboy when installing the electrical for the canopy may have tested some wires and possibly shorted the alarm. However, I told the technician to move the line for the canopy defogger to a different line and replaced the alarm with a new one.
when I got home and tested the alarm, I found out it still has the same problem. it was working fine when I left the shop.

hmmmmm.... baka naging ganun dahil sa wirings. Kaya ako hindi na nagpakabit ng aftermarket alarm, nagstick nalang ako sa OEM keyless entry. Pacheck mo nalang sa electrician lahat ng linya.

nick001,
why did you change from stock alarm to an aftermarket one? is it because of igntion kill? like xjasonx, i don't want to change my stock alarm. very delicate kasi ang electrical system, puedeng magkaron ng chain reaction which could damage wirings.

guys,
pundi na ung 2 foglights ko. mali kasi ung ginawa ng isuzu sa 2004 and 2005 model dmax. na kapag pinindot mo ung keyless entry and nakalimutan mong i-off ung foglight switch, pati ung foglight umiilaw, kasi pangit ung switch na nilagay nila. sabi nila sa 2006 dmax, kahit makilimutan mong i-off ung foglight and pinatay mo ung makina, then pindutin ung keyless entry ok lang kasi automatic OFF kagad ung foglight..
how much kaya ang aftermarket switch na may AUTOMATIC SWITCH-OFF once pinatay na ung makina? sa mga 2006 dmax owners, papost po ng pix ng foglight swtich nyo. thanks..
