Hi! I believe the current alarm system is still the same as used for early model of the Crosswind (beginning 2003 ata). If you want the OEM alarm, I believe you can order thru an ISUZU dealer (I believe there is an ISUZU satellite dealer there in Leyte) but in reality, you can use any aftermarket alarm na. The one who will install the aftermarket alarm will just disable your current and tap on the actuator that already exist in your vehicle.

February 19th, 2011 10:47 PM #915If I may input onto this...
Mine is '05 Sportivo in Nueva Ecija. Had a similar problem 2 months ago. After a few canvass of aftermarket alarm systems that ranged from P2k to P4k (depending on the brand and autoshop), i brought it to an isuzu dealer for a second opinion. Alas, the mechanic simply replaced a defective part in the module. He sourced out the part from another module which apparently was discarded (or replaced) from another client. I only paid P200 to the mechanic, plus P350 (entrance fee?) to the casa.
Its back to normal now.

February 21st, 2011 03:02 PM #918Sirs I need your inputs on WHAT TO EXPECT/ INSPECT from an old crosswind:
2001 XT/ XUV, with a mileage of 110,000km to 130,000km...although I have read a lot of the xwind owners here in the forum na yung units nila
more than 110t km na at going strong pa rin at wala pa rin problema sa engine, I still would like to know kung aling portions sa xwind ang aasahan kong may ganitong sakit pag ganito na katanda at kalayo ang tinakbo...
Your inputs would be my basis of checking pag time ko ng bumili ng used unit ko... I was thinking of the following items:
- Engine wear-expected ba na nabuksan na yung engine? or change oil pa rin pag ganito na katanda?
- Transmission problems
- Cooling system-Radiator needs replacement o hose lang papalitan?
- Airconditioning system-Needs replacement or cleaning?
- Power Steering-pansinin na ba ang problema pag ganito katanda?
- Power Windows-may maasahan na ba akong malaking problema dito?
- Brakes-anong pansining problemang asahan ko dito
- Door hinges - corrosion problem,anong i-expect ko?
- Car body and floor - corrosion problem, gaano katindi i-expect ko?
now sa ganitong year/model lang talaga magkasya ang budget naming mag-asawa...please help

good day sir.... mine is xuv 03 with a mileage of 155-160k and still vey much reliable,,,
with regrds to engine, just like most of them say, "pag wlang katok ok pa un".. it just need regular oil change....
Transmission problem,,, more complicated if it is AT, mine is manual and so far no problems, i change the tranny fluid every 2 years.
radiator,, if the hoses is still in good condition and no leaks, its ok no need to replace..
as the air con unit, pag mlamig pa ang buga ok pa yan, pag nsa yo na unit pa cleaning agad and follow up every year.
Power steering no worries, mganda gawa ng isuzu dyan.
Power windows, medyo nbgal pa mtanda na, hehehe... may iniispray lang sa door na lubricant para dun.
brakes, bgo mo bilhin ipacheck mo sa mechanic, to be sure,,,,
car body and door hinges, check mo kung may rust, pag meron dalhin mo sa mga pintor and latero.
so far 8 years na unit ko, wla pang major repairs, its indeed reliable and worth the money...
hope this helps...
