Hi everyone, newbie here. We are planning to purchase a crosswind as our first family car. I heard a lot of good feed backs on how reliable and fuel efficient the crosswind is, what I am concerned about is the price tag for the Sportivo, XUV and XT variants I have the budget for a sportivo but I need to know The pros and cons if I choose a lower model. another thing what are the advantages and disadvantages of AT over MT tranny and vise versa if in case I opted for a sportivo/XUV. TIA

"V" if the car was registered in Region 4 (Calabarzon).

I got my Isuzu Crosswinds XUV last 2003. Going on its 10th year next year and I am very very very happy with the vehicle to date. Currently 135,000 KM na.

    Ang Masasabi ko na maganda ay eto;

    1. Matibay Matibay Matibay... Nagsimula lang magkasira mga 7 years old na.
    2. Napaka mura ng parts compara sa ibang brand. Madami replacement parts (not original) option. Madali hanapin ang parts sa Banaue.
    3. Matipid talaga sa Diesel.
    4. Spacious. Ang dami mo pede ikarga kapag tinumba mo na yung mga upuaan. Pang pamilya at pang negosyo. All in one!!!
    5. Mataas ang Resal Value... I asked somebody to quote for me kung magkano pede ibenta ang crosswinds ko.. It can still sell at PhP 450k to 500k daw. I got my XUV for PhP 850K last 2003.

I am now scheduled to replace my Crosswinds XUV ( I change vehicle every 9 to 10 years). My last car was Nissan Sentra 1993 (Matibay Din). But I am NOT considering to buy the 2012 Isuzu Crosswinds.... over priced kasi! Plus, lumang luma na ang body framework and engine. For PhP 1.2M walang Saftety Features ( ABS / AIRBAGS ETC.) ang interior very spartan ang looks at hindi sleek.

I am now consider Mitsubishi Montero (PhP 1.3m+) Unti lang diperensya sa Sportivo mga PhP 150K lang.

Don't get me wrong when I am suggesting for you to buy the vehicle but I myself is not going to buy it as replacement for my current XUV.

    Hope this helps.

Choose Sportivo if you like the audio video entertainment package that goes with it as well as the other borloloys. Also if color is your consideration. (Mas maganda ang available color ng Sportivo than XUV.
Choose XUV if you dont want the add-ons above or the color available for XUV.

Choose Manual over Automatic.... Yung anak ko bibilhan ko ng 2012 Toyota Avanza 1.5G for her graduation gift and as her daily drive for college. The only thing na maganda sa automatic is hindi daw nakakapagod mag drive.

    Hope this helps again.

I purchased 2007 Sportivo - Manuel Tansmission. Extremely happy with overall fit and finish of the vehicle.
Very reliable engine....and the MT perfectly geared for slower Philippine driving roads. Excellent Isuzu service so far.
The automatic does drive slower....requires more maintenance..but its a reliable transmission. The AT is best for women drivers. The Sportivo has no additional options(except GPS). Also after longterm driving both Crosswind and Innova....i feel more comfortable with my Crosswind.

The newer 2012 Sportivos are mechanically the same as the older versions. Which means that Isuzu has had over 10 years to fine tune the model. I actually like this for reliability. The Sportivo interiors have improved signifcantly since i bought my 2007 model. Buy the Sportivo and you cant go wrong.

Others opt for the Adventure.

Its a reliable vehicle if you want to own it for more than 10 years. Less expense on the maintenance. Since the design does not change much, its still relevant.

I really do not expect it to be priced as what it is now. Kaya tuloy naging mahal siya. Esp. compared to the competition. Kaya nabansagan ng "SUV wanna-be".

It is a successful formula milked to dry by Isuzu Philippines. Profit margin lang kasi iniisip. But i do not want the Crosswind to go, its made in the Philippines. Give employment to Filipinos. Sana maging reasonable lang ito mga Hapon.
